Most of us here have seen how feminism has produced what amounts to a lot of propaganda about sexism against women, but tries to throw a magical cloak of invisibility over sexism against men. If more people gave a damn about boys instead of just seeing them as 'a problem to be solved' we would realize that what works for most girls in school won't work for most boys. But instead all we hear is 'Girls get better grades - yay! Boys are stupid - lets throw rocks at them'. This would be like men saying 'Men get paid more than women - woohoo! Women are too stupid and lazy - lets stick them in the kitchen'.

As an educatir who has studied the sexual politics and aims of various educational systems, I can state that there is a trend towards favouring girls education and learning styles throughout most of the western world. Europe is better, the UK varies, Australia is generally left-wing and pretty poor, and the US does vary but the public system is not so great.

Modern teaching methods, those I was told to adopt in the classroom focused on girl's dominant learning methods, to the detriment of boys, especially in traditionally male dominated subjects such as the sciences.

Go into any classroom from kindegarten and up and you will see far more positive affirmation granted to girls than boys. Girls are regularly praised in class, boys much less so. Boys are looked at as a challenge, at best, girls are portrayed as unrealised geniuses. It is all in the politics and how each group is portrayed.

I would like to point out to the first two answerers that all boys aren't failures, all boys aren't put on Ritalin and not all boys have ADHD.

The number of boys who do well in the education system is enough for them to get good jobs. And yes, most of the paying jobs are not taken by women, as you will find out if you open the first two links (which I'm sure none of you did). The next 5 links are even more interesting, though I have doubts if anyone will pay attention to those either. It is very funny how feminists ask for evidence and then refuse to see it when presented.

While the wage gap has been magnified as sexist (though it is clearly NOT), the boy crisis has even been debunked by Time magazine, though boys are struggling in the system. It is not because BOYS DON'T WORK ENOUGH. It's because BOYS DON'T WORK LIKE GIRLS that they underperform in the current system, which is suited to a feminine method of study. If the workplace expanded itself to accomodate a feminine way of working and management, why has the education system not expanded to suit both needs?

The problem of the Gender War against Boys. Is that Feminist groups like the AAUW and NOW see Boys as future Rapists and abusers of Women. And therefore they must be feminized to become disconnected with the Patriarchy. They must be "Properly socialized" for a more flexible and agreeable Gender role. Since to Gender Feminists, gender is a social construct.

This has led to major changes in education favoring learning methods that favor girls. While Boys languish, and are medicated who do not comply. Most Elementary Teachers are Women. In fact the shortage of Male Teachers has never been more acute than now. And any attempts to segregate the Genders are opposed by NOW and Feminists. Unless it benefits Girls.

While other Nations leverage their human capital and reward Males who achieve, we punish, medicate, and marginalize ours. As a result more and more Boys hate School. Recess, tag, Dodge ball, sports are being scaled back or eliminated entirely as too competitive.

Life is about competition. Males thrive on it. Females want everyone to play nice. So everybody gets a Trophy or an award, whether they earned it or not.

when you say that boys undeperform that is not a reason, that is a statement. Why do they undeperform? Not working hard enough is a reason.

As for the education system failing boys, it is the same system in place for boys and for girls. So why are girls outperforming boys? Do not blame the system, blame those who are using the system. Enough of people expecting the system to spoon feed them. There was a time when students used to run after teachers because they wanted to learn. Now it has become the other way round.

I am not of the opinion that girls are better than boys or the other way round. What you achieve is a function of the effort you put into it. You reep what you sow.

In the past, a lot of boys quit high school before graduating. Many of them went off to work to help support their families. Continuing their education was a luxury, considering that their income was probably the only thing that kept their families afloat. Unlike with girls, they still could get relatively high payings jobs that don't require an education such as construction work, truck driving, mining, and factory work. They still can get these kinds of jobs. Perhaps we should go back to the kind of society where is is possible to have a decent career without much education. It would eliminate the many thousands of people in college who don't belong there and are just taking up space that could be better used by more motivated students.

Do you know what I think, now this is only a theory for now, so bare with me. The psychology and physiology of a rapist is far different than a man who is not one, and the same goes for a woman. I like to look at things from a prospective such as that than to listen to what every one else is saying; sometimes, the true meaning gets lost in the shuffle.

One must always understand that feminism is a false god and that is a basic premise in understanding it. We must always bear in mind that it is an ideology masquerading as a truth. According to feminist "theory", words and things have meaning only insofar as and to the extent that feminism assigns meaning to them.

Feminists have earned all the privileges they have, simply by complaining long and hard. This will continue as long as men bend to it.

It is very easy for feminists to be in complain mode and they have mastered it well.
