Ortiz jersey in new Yankee Stadium?

I am really fixated on that whole jersey at Yankee Stadium thing. This is my third question on this topic and maybe not my last. Ortiz has played in 33 games now since the unholy jersey was dug up out of the visitors dugout in new Yankee Stadium. The Sox have either been in first or second while the Yankees have slipped into last place.

Question:

Has the curse of new Yankee Stadium been lifted off the Yankees or David Ortiz? And why do you feel this way?

David Ortiz before unearthing the jersey:

12 games

3-43

.070 batting average

1 homerun

3 runs batted in

Since the unearthing of the jersey:

33 games

41-134

.306 batting average

9 homeruns

35 runs batted in

If you really look at it, when it was buried Ortiz was going through a slump. After they dug it up he did a lot better and starting really getting his hitting going. So I think unearthing the jersey actually helped him. So yes I think when it was burried it caused a curse on him.

I do however feel that there will be a curse on the yankees with this new statduim that they have.

Not saying this cause I am a Red Sox fan.

I think that it is all coincidence, the jersey incidnet happened right about the time that Ortiz was finally getting back into shape after the offseason knee surgery, as for the Yankees falling apart...they lost their best player, their catcher and are trying to put a starting rotation out there that either does not shave yet or is card carrying members of AARP so you had to figure that this was a possibility.

no such thing as a curse, or else people would be putting them on other teams all the time. If I put a curse on you & you put a curse on me, what happens then???

Ortiz is a good player that was off to a slow start thats all. Now he got hot & his stats are showing that. You can't put much stock into the first 12 games of the season.

Don't believe in curses. I think Big Papi just got off to a bad start & has rebounded nicely & I doubt any of it has anything to do with the jersey being dug up

Silent Bob -at the start no it became into corustion workers who ratted him out. 2nd of its a t-blouse its unlikely to cruse human beings. It basically made the yankees spend so greater money and over the years on a sunday 5 hrs digging for a freaking t-blouse. Are you kidding me?

I dont really believe in "curses" or anything like that. Maybe he could have been motivated but nothing effected his play becuause of superstition. It is purely him getting out of his slump.

Big Papi's jersey was a clever diversion.....they will never find Manny's .....we'll take that secret to the grave.
