When will people realize that the White Sox are for real?

everything you said about the sox could be said about clev and the indians have better starting pitching and a better line-up that has not started hitting yet

Well, I will always say this. I am NOT being pessimestic, but honestly, this is a long season and anything can happen. The Tigers are starting to come alive (possibly). The White Sox WILL encounter a losing streak sometime in the season, like every team does. I think you may be counting your chickens before they hatch. It is way too early to assume the White Sox are going to be in 1st or 2nd, when the Mets had a horrific collapse last year. Kenny Williams made trades the team will regret and I truthfully feel that in 5 years, this team will be not too good.

Nevertheless, I hope they can finish strong! I named the possibilities of what could happen, and this very well could happen! So let's cross our fingers!

it is still early... but even in '05 they didnt get the credit they deserved. they had baseballs best record for most of the season until just right before the end of the season when the cardinals finished with a better record than them by only a game or two. and yet people still said that they would probably get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round because they werent used to being in the playoffs. then when they actually do make it to the world series against the astros, everyone says that it is going to be a boring world series because the teams they expected to be there, werent. come on!

I can't stand the White Sox. People will start to realize the Sox are for real when they start to realize the Tigers and Indians aren't for real. They have a legit chance of taking the Central if they keep playing the way they are.

They have a decent starting staff nothing too dominating. Bullpen is decent, their hitting should be better, but the AL Central it's going to go down to Detroit and Cleveland. No one is running away with the division right now.

Chicago swept Cleveland only because the Indians could not hit the broad side of a barn with a Mac truck right now.

As Ozzie pointed out, no one will ever give them any respect. Even after they won the World Series in 05, they still weren't looked at as a great ballclub. That's ok though because they are about to prove everyone wrong again.

Probably when they actually are..dude, the TWINS won 7 straight last week...I realize that they probably will come in 1st or 2nd in the AL Central...but how does this make them "for real?"

Good starters and bullpens won't do you much if your offense can't consistently go out and produce solid numbers. Dye is the ONLY player hitting over .300 right now. That's pretty sad.
