Help with SATA 2 Hard drives? (WEI scores)?

Hi! Starting a build, and wondering what's the cheapest Hard Drive to give a 5.9 WEI score on Windows Vista 32-bit? This is without overclocking or putting in RAID configuration. My budget is £50, no more, but less would be welcome. Thanks for your help!

The WEI is an arbitrary, subjective index, and that i does not subject approximately it in any respect. almost any HDD gets a score interior the 5's, or maybe a good good 7200 RPM WD Black merely gets a 5.9. i understand because of the fact I had one. when I have been given my SSD nevertheless, it jumped to 7.6. it rather is my lowest score now. Processor 7.7 memory (RAM) 7.8 pics 7.9 Gaming pics 7.9 often happening annoying disk: 7.6 Base score 7.6 yet this relatively skill not something.

i dont know about getting a 5.9 since i have steered clear of vista, but your best chances would probably be with the western digital 'raptor' drives. These spin at 10,000rpm and use sata connections so are at the top of the best. however these lightning fast drives aren't cheap.

a 150gb raptor drive would set you back about £120. even a 36gb is about £60.
