Example of daily schedules with toddlers?
My son is 16months old, he's on a pretty loose schedule for the day, was wondering what others were doing, like what is wake up time, feeding time, play time, nap time etc, for the day. Just trying to get some ideas of how to tighten it up. Thanks!

My family includes me, my husband, 6 yr old daughter and 22 month old son. So we have to accommodate every ones needs. If I'm not working i wake up at 6 am get myself ready. Kids wake up at 7 and eat breakfast. At 7 45 its time for my daughter to go to school. Lunch is at 11 30 then straight for a nap. He wakes up at 2 so i can pickup my daughter at 2 30. 3 is snack time. Dinner is at 6 or 6 30. Baths follow right after dinner. Between 8 and 8 30 is bed time.
Of course yours will be different but i hope it helps.

I don't knowreally because I 'routined' my kids from birth. By 16 months they were going to bed spot on 7pm after a bath and waking up at 7 am. They had breakfast then a wash and dress, then I just played with them, looking at books, playing with toys. I'd then walk to the park or the shops with them. Afternoon nap was at about 12noon till 2 pm. More playtime then walk to the school to pick up the eldest. The games I played were usually educational as well as fun. I also let them polish the furniture with me and let them stand on a chair and wash up. They helped me bake cakes. It is so easy to occupy a toddler but you have to keep doing different things as their attention span doesn't allow for lengthy 'projects'. My three could all read by the time they were three and a half as I made it fun for about 15 mins every day

when your child wakes up start with breakfast and then a bath you will find that once hes been fed he will enjoy his bath.. also set out some toys of various natures for him to play with .. also let him know how much time he has left to do things dont rush just say ok in 5 mins were going to pack this up and do painting or blowing bubbles .. always make sure that he helps you... with routines They must always be stuck to no saying just 5 more minutes at first itwill seem hard but in the end it will gel together if you need more help with routines and ideas look up in google 1001 activites without tv and see what your son likes... also find a playgroup for social interactions as well

When my son was that age he was up at 7-7.30am, nap at 12.30/1.00 for a few hours then bed at 7-7.30pm. I let him sleep as long as he wanted for naps be that as short as 90 mins or as long as 3 hours. Pick some times that suit you and go with those. It doesnt have to be set in stone but they do sleep better if you put them down around the same time (give or take 30-60mins). After a few days to a week then he should be settled into it.
