A lie is intentionally misleading someone with information that you know is untrue.

A story is a work of fiction.

The truth and facts are essentially the same thing. Truth is a state of being factual. So if a story is told in which the moral is logically correct, then even if the story is completely made up, it can still hold the truth, as long as it's readers are smart enough to understand that there is no intended literal meaning to theevents in the story. If the readers are unable to do this, then ignorance becomes the operative function, and the story can become quite dangerous.

There's a time and place for a "lie". For example..should you ell the truth to an evil person? Would you want your child to tell a stranger at the door that their parents aren't home or are asleep or are in the tub? And what about talking to people like Hitler or a serial killer or an intruder...when trying to stay alive.? What about when telling he truth could destroy a marriage or family etc.?

Maybe I misunderstood your question. Are you talking about a novel or fiction story? I think most novels etc. that are written are taken from experiences in people's lives...their friends..people they've read about etc. ..so I believe there are always some truths/facts in most stories.

Every good myth story contains a grain of truth. The trouble is, some myths such as the bible, just aren't that good. So parts have truth and are even practical, but most of it too cruel, violent and contains no practical applications.

I was driving a motorcycle through the woods one day , when the front wheel gave way on some mud and I went rolling down the hillside and the bike landed on top of me

    there ya go

a story that has no validation and yet it is the truth

no one around to see it , all you have is my word

we can never really know about many things if there are no witnesses

but it doesnt make them lies

    we will just never know

Sometimes, as in the bible, there is no difference. The stories in the bible hold no facts or truth.

You know a story is a story cos it's never portrayed as anything BUT a story.

A lie is a lie cos it is paraded as truth.

the entire immaculate idea situation is somewhat fishy...yet none-the-a lot less, open your recommendations. many religions trust contained in the trinity. the idea is that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all quite a few kinds of an analogous God. equivalent to mild is both a particle and wave mutually... God may nicely be all 3 mutually. What do I care notwithstanding...i'm basically an agnostic.

A lie is a statement, usually created in malice, with the intent to deceive someone. A story is intended to entertain or inform.

Depends on the story. Do you read fiction?
