So now he's Barry?

Question

I guess I don't get it.  I thought Barack Obama was proud of his mixed racial heritage.  But now it seems like people are calling him Barry??? (Like Barry Goldwater?) I don't think that will get him any more of the conservative vote, and it might even lose him some support from the African-American corner where it could be percieved as selling out somehow.

The first few times I read it, I couldn't figure out who they were talking about at first.  
Who started this and why?

The answer is simple.----Starting back in his College Days....when he applied for Affirmative Action Grants he used the name " Barack Hussein Obama " but when he pledged his College Fraternity he used the name " Barry O'Bama ".

Whatever he wants to call himself, i'm not voting for him.  I don't think 2 years of being a senator is enough is experience.  Besides, he should know that United States has 50 states and not 57.

His Mother, Grandmother, Grandfather and Sister started it when he was young.  They always called him Barry and since they raised him I would think that that was their right.  He's been called Barry since he was a baby.

Like many adults, he chose to use a more dignified form for professional purposes.

Kind of like "Ronnie Reagan" being known as "Ronald" in Hollywood and politics.

He's been known as Barry for years. Maybe now he's trying to sound more "All American," than ethnic.

I think even in school he was "Barry."

BARRY SOETORO HUSSEIN OBAMA. Barry Soetoro was the name of the Muslim boy enrolled in Indonesia's St. Francis de Assissi school. He is now Barack Hussein Obama who denied his being once a Muslim.

like Rob or Bob is short for Robert, Obama made up the nickname Barry, short for Barrack, back in school to make himself seem more white. im tellin you, the man has issues. Where's Freud when you need him??
