Simoncelli wins again, was it fair?

It kind of bothers me because it is not the first time he is involved in a crash (or something like that), leading to a rider getting out of the race (if you remember how Bautista and he ended up with no podium...)

I like Simoncelli but this makes me reconsider my opinion of him. Do you think he has any fault in this case (or any other) or he just brings bad luck to the riders around him?

The whole Bautista crash was not Marco's fault.

The Mapfire Aprillia of Bautista seized as it went into the right hander. Marco was THE innocent man in that one.

As for todays " crash " ....................... a little more tricky to call.

I'm 100% sure that there was nothing purposeful about what happened. When you rival ( Hector ) has a much faster bike down the straight, you do everything in your power to break the slip-stream.

Macro did this by [ very quickly ] moving off the racing line. In doing this, his fairing / seat / bum / elbow etc pulled Hectors front brake lever at over 140mph. Hence the massive crash.

LATE EDIT : Just found a clip of the crash, its the very last 4 seconds of the video, and it happens really quick!

Source(s): I'm pretty sure that Paul Butler ( Dorna Race Control ) will mark this a racing accident. Damm good 125 race as well !! Great question A.Nik , glad you enjoyed the race.

    Hey A.Nik

btw this is the only thing I watched LIVE yesterday. It was a terrible crash indeed when I saw it I was having lunch and the food chrashed into my throat.I blame it on Bautista because he was behind Simoncelli and who is in the back is responsible both for his machine and for that of the one who is in front of him.

Anyway in this sport very few things if any can be predicted so I'd also go with the accident version.Once the guys from EUROSPORT said that it's a common "rule" that everytime a crash between two bike s happens it's the back rider who is guilty,so Simoncelli is innocent.

I agree with Wiggysan. I'm a big fan of Bautista as you know.

but i go with Racing incident. He had to move over to break the tow. just didn't realise how close Hector was. could have been serious. Thank whoever it wasn't a bad one.

This kind of accident will always happen. to get the tow you have to be right there. when you start to over-rev you move out, and pass or slow down. the timing was just so wrong.

    My Verdict - Accident

    Hey A.Nik

I saw the 125 race live yesterday, then took my mates kid to see the new Indiana Jones movie so watched the main race online this morning - so haven't seen this race yet!

But looking at the youtube clip - I would have to go with (nasty) racing incident.

Good weekend for bikes wasn't it!
