No danger at all. I drink nettle tea only in spring, when I pluck the tops off young nettles ( less than 4 inches ) and brew them up. It smells really bad yet tastes really good. boil a handful in a pan for 3-5 mins, allow to cool, add sugar to taste if you want and enjoy.
