Here is how to find out if it did. It can be messy so be advised.

Look at the radiator. You will see 2 lines going to it. Remove the coil wire. Now remove 1 of them 2 lines and crank the engine. If the pump is working then the fluid will come shooting out that line. If not the pump has quit and it is time for a new converter.

if you still have reverse, the torque converter is fine, and i will assume that the fluid level is ok. but if you have lost first gear in all drive ranges, you could have lost the forward clutch. that transmission can be fun to take care of. good luck.
