They try their best to keep the two of you together. Although even if you have the same MOS it just depends on the base. Depending on what branch you are in... the Marines and Navy share the same bases, but at some bases there are is no one in the Army because they do not have their jobs there. It easier for a Marine and Navy to be married.. its harder if it was Air Force or Army married to Marine and Navy.
The BAH rate would be based on the main person's duty station. Which would probably be the husband. But if you were living on seperate bases.. you would probably get two seperate BAH rates

The Air Force bends over backwards to get mil-mil couples stationed together. If there are no children, then both members get single-rate BAH for their duty location. If there are children then whoever claims them in DEERS receives Dependent Rate BAH....usually the senior member but not necessarily.

Kids make no difference in this case, or in any case of married BAH. The only time children are a factor is when there are children of unmarried service members. Just because you answer every military question doesn't make the answers correct. There are chances of accommodations being made, but not guaranteed. More and more, the military is looking at how to keep its members satisfied.

You can ask for assignments were there are posts for both branchs nearby. Not sure how the BAH works out for that.

one would get married rate bah..the other single rate...not sure that they would be able to keep you together because not all services have bases near others of different branches..and that would be the main problem..or you would have a very limited number of bases you could even go too...

They try to accomodate, but there's no guarrantee. Only one active service member who is married, no matter the branch, is authorized to receive the BAH. All military paychecks are run through the Defense Finance and Accounting Center in Cleveland, they track it.

The Army makes sure that the couple can live together in military housing. In fact, the Army has started a program in Iraq where a couple who are both deployed can live together over there as well.

With the BAH, one will get BAH with dependents and the other one will get BAH without dependents.

spousal co location is never guaranteed even for same Branch couples.
if there are no children, each would get BAH Single. once there are kids, the Senior would get BAH w/D.
