  • Should we keep our noses out of what's going on in Iran?

It's obvious that they are headed toward civil war. I think we should just let them destroy themselves from the inside out. That way the US can't be blamed for interfering with their government and in the end they will have no one to blame but themselves.

  • What is it with politicians not paying taxes?

Some of them owe taxes and don't pay them until it's made public. But the average citizen is hounded by the IRS for as little as $5.00 if they owe it. What makes them exempt from the same rules that all of us are supposed to follow?

  • Should US auto makers lock out the UAW to save themselves?

This is just speculation, but seems that the UAW is the biggest detriment to US auto companies and need to go away in order to cut costs. I read that 40% of their costs are Union related and by eliminating that they could save themselves and their workers.

  • Do you feel Bush is doing a good job with the transition of power?

Like him or not, he is including Obama in decisions and taking his advice and opinion to heart. I think he's finally doing something right.

  • Can we as Americans possibly unite once again?

What inspired me most about last nights results were seeing the hundreds of thousands in Grant Park. Black and White together!! John McCain and his gracious concession speech calling on his supporters to unite and support our new President Elect. Obama calling for unity and a bi-partisan government. Let's all follow the examples that have been set and put the petty stuff aside and once again show the world that we are the UNITED States of America.

  • How many people, Repubs and Dems, will join me?

It's time to stop this bickering, divisive behavior. How many of you will join me in trying harder to listen to others points of view. You don't have to agree with them or believe what they do. Just respect them and lets start to unite our country once again.

  • Why are some so stuck on voting the "Party Line"?

Why aren't there more people that vote for the candidate or the issue? Why does it always have to be Democrat vs Republican? Both sides have positives/negatives and it shouldn't be so cut and dry.

  • I am predicting a blow out, landslide victory.?

I don't believe polls are accurate and that Obama will win this election by a landslide. Opinions?

  • What will everyone be discussing once the election is over?

What can possibly dominate YA's political section if the Obama and McCain people have nothing to argue about?

  • Do you think it unwise of Obama to leave the campaign trail?

With only 2 weeks left, he's going to see his grandmother. I personally think he is doing the right thing and taking care of family. It just shows me how important his family is to him and that is an admirable quality.

  • So what do you think McCain will bring to the next debate?

He claims that he's going to kick Obama's butt. He didn't bring anything new to the table last time and I have my doubts that he has anything this time.

  • Are the Chinese getting away with cheating?

There have been numerous reports recently about under age gymnasts competing in the Olympics. A Badminton player playing against women but was actually a man? Why does the Olympic committee put up with these blatant lies? There are no records of their divers existing in competition until 2 years ago, they provide nothing more than passports as proof of age. How are they getting away with it?

  • Should Britney Spears and Paris Hilton sue the McCain campaign?

He used both of them in his petty little advertisement that mocked Obama without permission. This ad has done nothing except draw criticism from every corner. He only succeeded in making himself look like a petty jealous old man. Sounds like he's a little threatened by Obama and feels he has to stoop to these levels.

  • How many people found the cover of the New Yorker Magazine completely tastless?

I don't care what party you're affiliated with, surely you agree that the caracature of the Obamas was distateful and nothing more than trash. Whoever is in charge of that rag ought to be fired for allowing something like that on the cover. I hope that magazine lines a lot of bird cages this week.

  • I'm not seeing much mention of the Jessie Jackson debacle?

His comments about Obama were just flat out nasty. Especially for someone who claims to support the Obama campaign. Obamas message about African American fathers being absent, not taking a role in their childrens lives and not taking responsibility was a very positive message. Is there anyone out there in agreement with me that Jessie Jackson and those like him perpetuate and stand for everything that is wrong in African American society today?

  • Do you consider yourself a moderate minded American?

You hear so much talk about Right Conservative, Leftist Liberal. I'm not either one, I consider myself a moderate that takes away what I consider the positive attributes of both parties. How many more out there are like me and why?

  • Why are Republicans as a whole so quiet about their support?

The Republicans seem to be very quiet. You don't see the big rallies or town hall meetings like you do with the Democrats? The candidates seem to be very detached from their supporters and the supporters seem to be equally as detached from the process. Why do you think that is? (If you are going to do nothing but make a nasty snide remark, please don't bother answering this question)

  • How can we stop the spread of lies and propaganda?

I read day after day the spread of untrue propaganda and outright lies about Barack Obama. It truly needs to stop, please check out this link before you decide to continue spreading these lies any further. It will clarify any misconceptions that you may have. You may not like him and you may not vote for him, but spreading things that are untrue doesn't say much for us as Americans.

  • Should the president have line item veto?

There are a lot of good bills that get vetoed because those who present them have added extra pork and garbage into them that sometimes has nothing to do with the bill itself. Is it a good idea to give the president the ability to get rid of the extra stuff that doesn't need to be there in order to pass a good bill?

  • What percentage of Hillary supporters will bail on the Dems?

I keep hearing the buzz about Hillary supporters voting McCain. I personally think it's ridiculous. I also feel that in time, they'll get over the loss and stick with the Dems like they should. How many do you think will actually follow through on the threat?
