What is the one thing that this Presidential election has proven?!?

We've progressed less than we would like to believe. Despite what anyone will claim when asked, race and gender played a HUGE factor in this election. People voted for or against Obama because he's part black. People voted for or against Hillary because she's a woman. Neither scenario is representative of a country that values true equality. I don't want a rock star or a civil rights statement for a president. It's too distracting to the issues. I want someone (of any color or gender) who is qualified to lead.

It has proven t me that people are ignorant and really don't understand what is important issues right now and are easily clouded by rumors and false accusations. It has proven most people vote for the wrong reason and would rather believe the negative garbage the political parties puts out then researching the actual facts... America loves to hate! and will believe anything as long as there is hate in it!

same thing that was proven in 2000 and 2004.. our public can be led to believe anything by the media.. in the 2000/2004 election the media sold us Bush through catch phrases.. now its doing the same thing with Obama..

Bush was considered to have no experience by the Democrats.. and now they are so excited about Obama.. honestly?

of course there are people besides a Bush and a Clinton who can be President.. we had about 40 of them

That the democratic party is not what it use to be. It has shown its true colors. It does not care about it supporters, and continues to do everything they can to lose an election.

That Democrats apparently enjoy losing Presidential elections. I hadn't realized that self-flagellation had become so popular for the left.

That Hillary Clinton was NOT entitled to the Presidency.

That we can move forward in our country and society.

That there are people besides a Bush or Clinton that can be President.

This election has exposed some festering wounds that don't seem to be healing.

That Republicans are living in the past and don't get this century at all.

There are a lot of uninformed folks who want handouts.
