Do you think Ron Paul lacks the charisma people are looking for in a President?

I love Ron Paul's ideas, but most people would never give him the time of day because he doesn't cuddle up to American's like a cute teddy bear. Do you think charisma has a lot to do with why Ron Paul isn't at the forefront right now?

Charisma is another word for the alpha-quality, as in, alpha-male or alpha-female. It's basically an animal trait we share with, for example, wolves and squirrels (if you've ever watched squirrels, they are quite pushy, and in any group there's always a big-cheese.)

BUT—and this is always the defining "but" of the human species—Reason is not an animal trait. There have been a few leaders in history whose primary leadership was not through dominance, but intelligence. (And that's intelligence, not craftiness ... the naturally dominant are always crafty.)

It all depends upon the circumstances of the time. When the circumstances get uncertain enough, Reason has a chance to step forward. It's a narrow chance to be sure, but it's there.

That's what Ron Paul, and other people who understand the ideas, are faced with: simply trying to get people to think, rather than react. Or worse, submit.

i'm an Obama supporter and those are my strategies: i like Ron Paul even although i don't unavoidably accept as true with Libertarianism and the 1st one to purpose this is going to probable see severe aftereffects and the belief will pass down in flames. i'm thirty years old and this may be the 1st election I vote in. I even have consistently felt that there is a 2 occasion phantasm in this united states and the wealthy positioned who they elect in place of work. It extremely scares me that Obama have been given so a ways as he has and yet, he seems so actual. How did he ruin interior the path of the duality? Ron Paul could have been a much better opponent for Obama and can have made him sweat slightly. i don't comprehend the way McCain is so severe interior the polls whilst Bush became so low. i assume human beings greater often than not are stupid and this is an identical people who voted for Bush 2 circumstances! Republicans comprehend in the event that they vote for Ron Paul this is going to likely be a wasted vote, this is why Independents don't get many votes. they're afraid in the event that they improve some balls and vote for him, that the worser of the assumed 2 evils gets the white homestead. until we can convince greater human beings to vote autonomous and stay far off from the events, this duality will proceed.

I believe that's it. While he is, by far, the most intelligent, educated and experienced candidate - a veteran, an economic scholar, a physician and the champion of The Constitution, he isn't charismatic.

Too bad. If we were voting homecoming king, Obama's got my vote. If we're voting for the leader of the free world, it's Ron Paul all the way.

Truth is, he's too intelligent for most people to understand and his common sense is beyond a lot of people. Some folks think that using The Constitution as an instruction manual, cutting government waste, bringing our troops home and ending subsidies for illegals is nuts. I think it just makes good sense.

Apparently, the world agrees. He is the leading candidate globally and among our active duty and retired military personnel. And the voters are starting to wake up too. His book "The Revolution" is a New York Times #1 best-seller.

For those who don't believe he has a plan, and who apparently don't like to read (because it's all in his book and on his web site), watch his 20/20 interview on You Tube. In 30 minutes (6 sections) he explains his stance on every, single, major issue.

If the people are looking for a bs artist who is going to tell them the same old story about how he will "change" Washington, then the answer is no.

Someone like Dr. Paul who presents ideas well and can defend them to me is more charismatic. Ron Paul isn't at the forefront because he is not a bs artist, flip flopper or liar and he isn't sold out to anyone, especially the military industrial complex who control the media outlets.

on paper he looked good to me too but when he opens his mouth, he's pretty out there. He says what people want to hear (similar to Obama) but doesn't really have a plan.

Very much. Frankly, your screen name alone is more enticing than his presentations are. He's really whiny in tone.

My own impression was that I wouldn't vote him for Dog catcher! He's a stutering whimp!
