My friend is blacking out?

Okay, so for the past year, my girlfriend has been passing out temporarily (blacking out), and will fall or collapse randomly in the day. It keeps getting worse, and the other day she fell on the floor and laid there for three hours, unable to get enough strength to get up. I'm extremely worried, because doctors haven't done much to find whats wrong other then wondering if it could be light seizures, but not epilepsy. If anyone could help, I need a breath of relief.

Update:

She is eating normally and she is perfectly health otherwise. This scares me because it seems causeless. It's been going on for almost an entire year now.

Update 2:

She has repeated doctor visits, but alls they are doing is testing for different things. Is it possible that she has cancer cells in a part or the spine or brain? She has scoliosis if that helps.

Your friend needs to go to the doctor to see what's wrong.

    Sarah,

I was in your friend's shoes. once, therefore, I know where you are coming from.

By the way, I just came out from a seminar on Epilepsy, the Nuerologist described there are more than hundred kinds of Epilepsy.

For the last ten years, being victim of various forms of seizures, I had to see more than a dozen medical Doctors before I finally ended up seeing this great Nuerologist, who recommended EEG, MRI tests, monitored & recorded my seizures on video, prescribing the right medication to control my seizures.

The way you describe it, you friend is suffering petite mal seizures, which is a form of Epilepsy.

    Sarah,

Take your friend to Nuerologist ASAP, and ask for EEG or MRI test. I bet you, the Nuerologists will tell you more than Medical Doctors can.

    Good luck,

    Gerrie

Maybe she is not eating right. Or it could be something worse. I hope she gets well soon!
