All modern gas stoves use an electric wall outlet to run timers, etc....even many older stoves would. So, you've probably got a wall outlet already behind your existing stove. If you do, then you do not need an electrician, because all they will have to do, is unplug the old one, and plug in the new one... much like you would a vacuum cleaner, or table lamp.

As far as the gas line goes... all they will do, is turn off the gas (usually there is a shut off valve right there behind the stove), unscrew the flexible line from the back of the stove... then apply a little teflon tape to the threads on the back of the new stove, and reconnect the flexible line. Finally, check it for leaks... I use a spray bottle with a little soapy water myself. If the flexible line is damaged or kinked, then I replace it too.

Fairly straightforward, and easy to do.... something that most homeowners could do themselves if they wanted to.... you're not running any new lines.

Now... if for some reason, there is no wall outlet behind the stove, then you'd need an electrician to have a circuit run from the panel box to the wall. The electrician would install a breaker in the circuit panel box, run new wire, and install a wall outlet with cover. If it's easy to run it under the floor, it might take all of an hour to do.

Not if there's an outlet behind the stove.
