Why do my eyes change colour?
Why is it that, over the course of a day, my eyes change colour, passing through various shades of blue and green?
Kat--couldn't agree more. Clear case of "point-gaming" or whatever Yahoo calls it.
It's interesting to hear about other people who get the same thing, but does anyone know why it happens?

This is because the human perception of "colour" is highly subjective.
So in one colour and illumination conditions, your eyes might appear blue, but in another (dimmer light maybe, or a different-coloured shirt) they'll appear greener.
Your eyes are probably a blue-green shade, and different corcumstances just bring out different colours from the mix.

They change according to for eg what you are wearing by reflecting different colours. This happens to people with blue/green eyes only which are more susceptible to change which is why in strong sunlight you must wear sunglasses as your eyes are more likely to be affected by the strong light frequencies.
