How long should I be able to keep my contacts in for?

I started wearing contact lenses around about Easter this year. Initially (after the first few days) I could keep them in for most of the day without any problems. But gradually I've had to take them out earlier and earlier because my eyes feel very dry and sore. Now I can only wear them for 4-6 hours before my eyes get really dry, and when I take them out my eyes feel very irritated.

I use Specsavers disposable soft lenses if that makes a difference. I always clean and disinfect them as directed. Are there different lenses which would be better for me to use?

yeah, there are probably lenses that work out better for you. i use oasys and i've never had a problem with them (other than getting pink eye, but that was my own fault). talk to your eye doctor. maybe it is as simple as changing contact solutions or adding a supplemental moisture drop, but i bet there's a better option out there for you than what you're experiencing now. good luck!
