Is anyone ever shocked by a persons behavior?

At my age I am pretty jaded, and thanks to being a boomer, I lived in the 60's and 70's and I can honestly say that what usually shocks me today is, hearing a young person say yes mam no sir , or please and thank you. Or when someone opens or holds a door for someone else. It's getting where it's the random acts of kindness you find shocking, they are so rare .

Yes, we have seen and heard it all. What's shocking is the people that are acting totally out of character. The complete opposite of themselves. I guess everybody snaps some time.

I thought I had, I live a bit north of San Francisco. Last night when I took my dog out, I saw a pickup truck pulling a big, I mean huge, sign that said "Sodomy IS SIN!" and had a cross but I couldn't read what was on it. My mouth fell open and I wondered if Fred Phelps was out here on vacation, but I was appauled! I don't think I ever actually saw deep hate in real life.

I'm always shocked by 2 things people do.....

the hatred for other people because of race, religion, nationality, etc.

the lack of empathy some people have.

All the time!

Yes. Just when you think you have seen it all, someone proves you haven't.

Never. I am not surprised by anything anyone does. Ever. Period.

No I don't think human kind will ever cease to surprise me.
