Swanston Street is closed to normal daytime traffic between Flinders and La Trobe Streets from 7am to 7pm. It's open to general traffic between 7pm and 7am.

Bourke Street is always closed between Swanston and Elizabeth Streets - it's the Bourke Street mall and only trams are allowed.

Yes, Bourke St is always closed to cars, only for trams,

as it is a mall now.

Swanston St possibly is closed some of the time but i am unsure of more details.

Unless you are a courier or trammie they are closed all day now.
