A few questions for Obama supporters?

1. Do you mind that when he was senator, Obama supported a program that gave free needles to heroin addicts?

2. Why do you not care about the fact that he doesn't say the pledge/sing the national antheum and is not very patriotic?

3. Are you supporting Obama soley because he is black (and their are millions of americans who are doing just that) ?

4. I always explain to my liberal friends how he has zero experience but they counter that he has a lot of experience. Would you care to share this experience with me?

5. What made him at all unique from hillary other than the fact that he is charming, handsome, not married to bill, and Black?

Thank You all very much, i honestly am curious. Please do not be insulting to me as I am trying to be respectful and that would only be a reflection on your party of choice.

Update:

I strikes me funny hoe Obama supporters are inable to be specific. Come on people can ya please prove that stereotype wrong for me?

Update 2:

I don';t think any of my questions are phrased in an insulting manner. I presented a few topics in a way that clearly showed MY PERSONAL opinions but allowed you to show YOUR PERSONAL opinions any other way you saw fit.

And I think it just goes to show Obamas lack of any real opinions how a lot of people just answered about smearing McCain.

Well guess what dear friends?

I DONT SUPPORT MCCAIN.

I just don't support Obama.

So suck on that.

    1. The effects of AIDS and other dieases that can be transmitted through the sharing of needles are way worse than the effects of heroine use. While I don't agree with the use of heroine, I do think it's a great idea to provide those who are addicted with clean needles to prevent disease.

    2. He does say the pledge, and he does sing the National Anthem. The senator himself said that "My grandfather taught me when I was 2. During the Pledge of Allegiance, you put your hand over your heart. During the national anthem, you sing."

    3. I'm white. The fact that Obama is of mixed race means nothing to me as far as my support goes. I support him because I think he is a great man, and will be a great leader of our country.

    4. From 1992 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004, Barack Obama served as a professor in the Law School at the University of Chicago. He was a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996. He was a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004, during which time he taught three courses per year. Between 1993 and 2002, Barack Obama worked as a civil rights lawyer with the Chicago law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland. He served for eight years in the Illinois State Senate. In the Illinois State Senate, he worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. He also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama worked with law enforcement officials to require the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases. In 2004, he became the third African-American since the Reconstruction to be elected to the U.S. Senate. In the U.S. Senate, he has focused on tackling the challenges of a globalized, 21st century world with fresh thinking and a politics that no longer settles for the lowest common denominator. His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress. As a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the terrorist threat posed by weapons of mass destruction, he traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. And knowing the threat we face to our economy and our security from America's addiction to oil, he's working to bring auto companies, unions, farmers, businesses and politicians of both parties together to promote the greater use of alternative fuels and higher fuel standards in our cars.

    1. I think now that we are in the home stretch to the elections, both will begin to get more precise for the voters. You had to be kind of "general" to win the nomination, but they both have got to give good reasons to vote for either/or. I think Obama will be a president who helps the meat of the country, the people who make this country operate... the other 97% that are not rich but who work hard everyday. I think McCain is a marketing scheme... the old Bait and Switch routine. 2. Well, for one, none of the gas companies can explain their illimitable and soaring profits. They tried last year to get them to explain it, but couldn't. We haven't heard anything since. When you have gas execs who don't even know how much they make, there's something wrong with the picture. That's where the money will come from ;-) I don't know how he's going to do that, but I'm sure he will make it known. At this stage of the game, he must have a plan to do that otherwise he wouldn't have stated it.

    1. No i don't mind that he gave needles to heroin addicts in order to stop the spread of HIV.

    2. People don't put their hands on their heart when singing the national anthem. I think that was the clip your talking about. The rest are just lies told on him.

    3. I am supporting Obama because he is Smart, Wise and Gifted. Because he is black is just the icing on the cake.

    4. Where does the notion that he has no experience? He's a U.S. Senator! So is Hillary and McCain. He had more experience than Bush and Cheney! with their experience totaling over 100 years together you see what happened to this Country in the past eight years with all that experience! MEANS NOTHING!

    5. This ones easy. TRUTH wasn't fake or phony.

    1. Do you mind that when he was senator, Obama supported a program that gave free needles to heroin addicts? <-- so they wouldn't transmit AIDS, etc. No, I don't mind that he did this.

    2. Why do you not care about the fact that he doesn't say the pledge/sing the national antheum and is not very patriotic? <-- He does say the Pledge of Allegiance - I've seen him do it. I can't speak to the national anthem b/c I don't know if this accusation is accurate. (I tend to believe that it is not accurate)

    3. Are you supporting Obama soley because he is black (and their are millions of americans who are doing just that) ? <-- others may do that, I am supporting him b/c he is the Democratic nominee and I don't want to see another republican in the White House.

    4. I always explain to my liberal friends how he has zero experience but they counter that he has a lot of experience. Would you care to share this experience with me? <-- I don't think he has much political experience - just one term in the senate.

    5. What made him at all unique from hillary other than the fact that he is charming, handsome, not married to bill, and Black? <-- I am a strong Hillary supporter, but the powers that be in the Democratic party gave him the nomination, (despite the fact that she had the popluar vote). But, it is what it is and I think our choice (Obama) is the candidate that we need to elect in November. I think that people who switch parties just because of the nominee aren't dedicated to the Democratic philosophy. The reason I say this is that the party philosophies, actions and beliefs between the two parties are polar opposites - so why would you switch parties just b/c of the candidate? (LOL - I think being married to Bill is a plus, BTW).

    1. No. This is one way to stop the spread of HIV/AID's and hepatitis among addicts to non-addicts. Many men, as you know, avail themselves of the services of prostitutes. Prostitutes are often heroin addicts. What about the husband who goes to a prostitute and then sleeps with his wife?

    2. Because that is a smear. I have seen him on CSPAN leading the pledge in the Senate in the morning with his hand over his heart.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIyBwkuqF4E

Someone caught him once without his hand over his heart and took a picture.

    3. No, I'm a white southern lady, and I'm supporting Obama because he's a visionary. He's eloquent, charismatic, and he knows what this country needs. I noticed that he was black, but then when he started talking about the things this country needs, I became colorblind.

    4. His inexperience does not concern me. He's been around long enough to see how things should be or should not be done. He has an excellent education and is fresh and energetic. He hasn't had time to be corrupted.

    5. At the outset of his campaign, he promised to run a clean and positive campaign. He did so without attempting to smear Hillary or Bill. He didn't bring up the women or Whitewater once. Hillary shot herself in the foot with the Bosnia Snipers.

That's the way it is with me. I hope that helps you to understand. I would also recommend you look at this site--

It's hard to be specific over lies and twisted words... Honestly most Obama supporters are tired of defending such childish statements coming from people who haven't even taken the time to see these are false statements by actually listening to what he actually said without the fox and Limbaugh twist. So if you are looking for specific answers.. I suggest you start by listening to what is ACTUALLY said and turn off FOX and Limbaugh and their childish and hate comments.

BTW the only ones who bring up that he is Black are the McCain supporters.. I think we are ALL aware he has an African American heritage but we are mature enough not to make that an issue.

****** I HAVE LET THIS ANSWER SIT FOR AN HOUR NOW AND LOOK AT ALL THE SUPPORT AND LINKS SUPPORTING THE FACT THAT THIS IS "NOT" OBAMA SUPPORTERS RUNNING FROM THE TRUTH.. IT'S THE NON OBAMA PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN RUNNING AROUND DROPPING LITTLE SEEDS OF FABRICATED LIES IN HOPES TO DEFACE A MAN ON NOTHING BUT LIES AND ACCUSATIONS.. I'D LIKE TO SEE ANY OF THESE S CALLED REPUBLICANS ANSWER THIS SAME QUESTION ABOUT THEIR CHOICE WITH THE SAME KIND OF SUPPORT.. USING FACTS NOT JUST DROPPING NEGATIVE SEEDS AND HOPING THEY WILL GROW. POINT PROVEN BEYOND ANY SUSPICION IF YOU ASK ME.

BTW again... CSPAN is the only place to get the total truth as they just don't put their own personal spin on things and it is just the exact words spoken with the ENTIRE speech, word for word without all the negativity and word twisting. But it does take some intellegence to be able to hear the meaning without having someone like Limbaugh, Hannity and FOX News adding their negative twisted comments, and leaving out half what is said by taking the statements out of context for the reason of twisting the meaning. .

wow after reading your last statements it's pretty obvious you aren't reading any of the answers obama people have given you.. they have given you exact links and word for word statements he made.. It's obvious you don't want the truth you just want to be negative.. This is exactly what Obama people have been saying.. Take a rumor and run with it without caring if it is true or not as long as it supports what you want to hear.. The proof is right there in front of you... can't be more specific.. I guess thats not what you wanted.... you just want people to support your view which was gotten from media garbage and not actual fact.. Kind of feel sorry for you as the world isn't full of as much hate as you want to see it as.. Your last comment to "suck on this" just goes to show your age and maturity level...

    1. Agree with "asking" about this one. Drug addiction is a disease. Junkies and addicts are going to use drugs. You can't make an adult do things they don't want to do and vice versa. At least give them a way to do it safer and decrease the spread of HIV and hepatitis.

    2. Isn't this country built on freedom? We're ALL free to sing or not to sing. Besides, they way our country is being represented by the Bush administration in other countries right now...I'm a little embarassed to be singing too.

    3. I'm white and I'm also supporting him. I support him because he believes that EVERYONE should have the same rights as everyone else.

    4. Obama will have been a United States Senator for four years and an Illinois state senator for eight. His political experience thus compares well with Senator Clinton's, although Sen. Clinton has the edge in national experience. Senator Clinton also has the derivative experience of having lived in the White House during her husband's eight years as president.

    5. Hillary and Barack don't differ a whole lot on most issues, but they are both in the Democratic party. That's all it took for me. I will NEVER vote republican.

    1. Needle exchange programs have more than Obama's support. They have the support of the CDC, GAO, and the National Academy of Science. Needle exchange programs clearly help stem the spread of AIDS. Support of them makes complete sense to me.

    2. Throughly debunked lie. Not worth thinking about.

    3. No.

    4. It's true that he doesn't have as many years as a Washington insider under his belt as McCain, and I view that as a positive.

    5. Compared to Hillary, he's much more electable.

    1. hadn't heard the first 'rumor'. I do know that many states have legislated needles being give to addicts to stop the widespread effect of AIDS from dirty needles.

    2. He does say the pledge and sing the anthem....see his website, the senate website, etc...this is a debunked rumor http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp

    3. no.

    4. Bush also had zero experience. He has more experience than Bush....and he has far more life experience.

    5. He says what he thinks; He wasn't another dynasty in the white house; he is confident, poised, intelligent, and backed by numerous military leaders for his plans on foreign policy

    1) I think its a great idea.

    2) He does sing it. He was photographed once not putting his hand over his heart. And he has led the pledge in the Senate numerous times.

    3) No.

    4) He has a similar experience level to Abraham Lincoln. He didn't turn out to badly as a President. By contrast, Lincoln's predecessor, James Buchanan, had an incredible resume, and it considered a catastrophically bad President.

    5) I think he's more electable than Hillary.
