Are you a Libertarian? Take a (short) quiz?

I was not surprised by the answer. However, I found some of the questions too broad to warrant a general "disagree" or "agree" response. Especially because there are usually exceptions to every rule. I also found this quiz a bit biased, but as it came from a Libertarian site, it is not a surprise. The party is, of course, trying to recruit people. That's okay, as long as the people taking the quiz realize it. Nothing is completely objective.

I would be if small and medium business had a reasonable chance to compete with corporate super-giants. But since these have become a political power of their own, I feel capitalist anarchy is simply Utopian.

Plus, certain issues, such as the environment require a collective effort that is not addressed by libertarianism.

No, I'm not, I'm a proud Democratic socialist. That test is a biased joke because it puts every position in the narrow straight jacket of the American political spectrum which is absurd and defies decades of political science. The questions are asked in a way that leads most people to end up libertarian or close to libertarian.

Quiz didn't work.

Military service should be voluntary. There should be no draft. - Militaries should not exist; militias if anything.

End government barriers to international free trade. - End subsidies too.

Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security. - Privatization usually means handing something to plunderers, not ceding control to civil society.

Replace government welfare with private charity. - Abolish corporate welfare, and create mutual aid.

I scored liberal, slightly to the left of centrist and close to libertarian.

I don't like the personal responsibility one size fits all crap.

It sounds good, but it doesn't fly because shiiiiit happens.

Plus I am solidly behind universal health care.

There is, however, a lack of questions to come to a good conclusion. Like federal spending, only one choice. So the test is not very good. I'd like to see it with a lot more choices.

I used to support it till the militias kept trying to take over. I'm thinking really hard about going back. The two party farce has got to stop. It will be an uphill fight, but no guts no glory.

No. I scored as a liberal. But I agree with the Libertarian stance.

No. Centrist by the test. But I will say that some of the answers were loaded.
