can anyone tell me why I dont loose weight but loose inches?

I have been going to the gym 4 times a week and have a personal trainer for one session a week and alternate between weights (set program) and cardio.

muscle weighs more than fat. You are gaining muscle and losing fat. As long as you look good in the mirror and fit great in your clothes, your trainer should not be putting you on the scale, but measuring body fat.

Muscle is denser than fat. Ignore the scale and get a measuring tape. None of your clothing sizes are listed in lbs kgs. Here is an article about the subject:

your probably burning fat and building muscle. fat takes up more room than muscle, but muscle weighs more than fat. so, if your building up muscle, then that will make you either gain weight or it will stay the same. but then because your losing the fat, your losing inches
