Fiat Punto Fan?
Hi
I have just bought a fiat punto (2002 Reg) and the fan kicks in on very short journeys (<1-2 miles), although the temperature warning light stays off and there is no way the car has got 'properly hot' for such a short journey.
Is it just a punto 'feature' for every journey or is something wrong
Also there is no temperature gauge on the dashboard controls, is that normal

if its overheating and youre loosing water sounds like the head gasket BIG job and BIG money.

I have had a punto 02 Reg and there is something wrong definately my car did not have that problem and i would take it to your fiat dealership and get it checked out

sell the car quick mate
its a typical Fiat trait, it will rev up stopped at traffic lights i bet... like your reving the throttle.
i ended up swapping my fiat for a skode favorit with a garage,

Just make sure there is enough water in your cooler bottle, it looks like the car get hot fairly quickly, check also that your radiator is OK and there is no leak or blockage.
