Obama attacks Lobbyist on a regular basis. McCain is no better---but lets say you want to save DUCKS in the local pond in your neighborhood from some federal toxic dumping bill.
YOU WOULD NEED TO LOBBY YOUR CONGRESSMAN! to stop them.
You never hear the people in the MEDIA ever challenge OBAMA or McCAin whenever they attack lobbyist--WHY?
Why are they limiting our ability to influence our congressman?
ALL YOU HEAR in the media is A POWERFUL LOBBYIST, or LOBBYING GROUP!
the Media get to publish editorials, they get to go to state dinners with the congress, they get to interview them--and ask them questions--BUT WHAT ABOUT the COMMON PERSON!

Maybe one or two will read your whole Q and get that this is what we do. As long as it's only a sound bite to most of them, they will continue to work on a first grade political understanding. But that is what their party wants. Shallow, emotional voters.

Because big businesses have the money to pay lobbyists to influence congress. As a result congress takes action, or passes laws, or scraps laws so as to benefit the business. Lobbyists sometimes cause ordinary people to be hurt so that big business can benefit, and the politicians benefit because they get their sacred election campaign contributions.
Lobbyists are one reason why congress seems to accomplish so little year after year to help the people.

Well I guess you missed the memo, first..who's a Liberal? Just curious about your definition before I try to answer this quasi question...
Second... Does it make sense to have a "pay as you go" Government ? is that what you really want? The reason I ask is Because if it is than you really have no beef with either Liberals or Cons.. they are both Pigs in the same pen, and more times than not are feeding in the same troft...
Obama's is endorsed by all of the Finanace houses in the Wallstreet district, he's taken nothing but non federal Lobby money ???? Big deal he's still up to his wrist in Soft Money.. But again he's hardly a Liberal.

There are lobbyists who plead (With whom we have no problems) ..... and then there are lobbyists who compel with expensive perks, finance tips, share options, directorships, and even... nice cash backhanders.
Then there are the foreign lobbyists disguised as Americans - special interest pro-Israeli groups, Irish-American groups for the PIRA (Terrorist Provisional Irish Republican Army), pro-Saudi groups, etc.
Guess which type we complain about? If you want your country to be run by people beholden to foreign powers, terror groups, corporations, and consortiums instead of YOU the electorate, then just keep right on being an idiot. OK, silly boy?

Now that's funny. Obama is a liberal big time and he's been caught taking money under the table from lobbyists. That doesn't sound like they hate the lobbyists to me.

Actually they hate lobbyists in public, they work with them in private though. Strangely enough despite all the proof many Liberals seem blissfully unaware and remain fully ignorant (even when provided with proof) of the back door dealings of their own politicians.
some libs have a twisted sense of reality if you ask me.

they should have a lottery for those who can take up the time of a politician and not give more time to those who contribute more bribes [money] to their campaign.
