On the subject of 'Designer Dogs' is a Collie X Alsation known as an Alco Pup?!?

lol thats actually pretty clever.

Although I can see from some of the other responses its gone right over their heads.

Of course its still a cross breed, but its taking Al from alsation can Co from collie to make Alco, adding Pup to make it all sound like "alco pop".

No a mutt, mongrel, crossbred, Heinz 57, or as an old style Farm Collie.. German Shepherd/Collie crosses were very popular on farms yrs ago. I ran across an old farm who had 6 left, 2 old s/f and 4 adult pups all neutered now to prevent reproducing. None were social, all were very matted and giving shots was like a cattle roundup, the dogs had to be lassoed and held down. Very sad life for any dogs.

As for what I know i think they are just cross breeds..but I learn something new all the time!
