He's embarrassed because of people like whiskeyman, who don't do enough research and/or don't know much about Barack Obama, so they make sweeping generalizations based off the color of his skin and his name.

It's a terrible country we're living in today if I'm going to be judged on my name and the color of my skin. That was the 1950's when America did that.

Photographs from a Seattle rally earlier this year also clearly show a couple in Muslim garb behind the candidate.

I would also like to know what he is ashamed of....these women came to support him.....the other two women (without headscarves) were asked if they would like to sit in the preferencial spot...when they said they were with the friends that were muslim with the scarves...they were told...they can't sit there with you.......now today, our paper in Austin, Texas on the front page says they are going to try to tone down Mrs. Obama....and make her seem more mainstream for America to accept her...since she comes across as a very angry woman.

He doesn't care for us to notice that he has the strong support of Muslims. It's typical political maneuvering to conceal what he presumes, correctly by the way, what would be viewed as distasteful by many Americans. This is the same tact used by virtually every candidate for national public office.

These tactics are not Obama's problem. His socialistic agenda is the problem.

Why is this same question being asked over and over again? It's because retards like you and the four other people who have asked in the past half hour don't have an original thought.

Why does John McCain hate women voters? Why does John McCain grill babies? Did you know John McCain pisses on the US flag before whipping Cindy McCain with it while Bush watches?

Because he is tired of the confusion surrounding his origins and his current religion so he wants to go to great lengths to distance himself from anything associated with Muslims.

Unfortunately by employing secrecy, half-truths and defensive denial, he makes himself look like he has something to hide.

The reality is, Obama's father & step-father, and indeed all of their families are Muslim. Obama's mother, of course, was athiest. Obama did indeed attend Muslim schools as a child.

His skirting of those truths, and the cries of his supporters every time these truths are brought up can't help but call his motives into question.

He is of course a practicing Christian now, thanks to the illustrious Jeremiah Wright, and has been for 20 years.

I, however, and probably thousands more, would respect him more if he simply said "Yes I was raised in the Muslim faith and have many Muslim relatives. I made a conscious choice to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ more than 20 years ago, and my faith has never waivered."

I aid you recognize what why do not you ask a Muslim? This lie is so previous till in simple terms the human beings who does not vote for Obama interior the 1st place are in contact approximately it. The reason they wern't allowed to sit behind him is so that when he is on camera they would not be seen. That way Right wing nut jobs couldn't have another reason to think he was an al-queda secret agent.

I'm sorry it happened but with all of the right wing nuts out there they have to protect images. Obama is not Muslim and shouldn't be afraid to acknowlege that Muslims may or may not like him but the media has made it so. What does it matter what religion the person is who supports the candidate?
