Needs polishing, but keep it up. An example of how you could change the first paragraph:
The sound of my feet hitting the wet concrete punctuates the deafening silence of the night. I'm becoming increasingly aware of my rapidly increasing pulse. Mustn't panic. Keep it together. I can do this.
He's getting close. I can feel it. The alleys are pretty narrow. Too much clutter to avoid. I'd knock something over to slow him down, but I'm too afraid of stumbling, falling, failing.
Damn it, Marie, where are you?
Then I see it: the flash of silver as the weapon falls into my hands from the rooftops. Thanks, Marie. Shouldn't have doubted you.
Okay, I need to turn and fire, and hope I hit him before he can bite me. Mustn't see the glimmer of those pearly whites in the moonlight.
****, just go for it.
I jump, spinning to face my pursuer. The liquid silver-filled capsule leaves the barrel of the gun as the hammer strikes it. I fire two more to cover a wider area. These things are damn agile, can't risk a miss, but don't want to waste bullets. These things are expensive, and we don't exactly get government funding. END.
That's one example, but the first-person perspective does limit what you can say and do. Third person is best, describing the character's thoughts as she runs. Bear in mind that keeping things in the present-tense makes it more engaging.
By no means do you have to take my example as being the only acceptable answer, but as a fellow writer, I hope it helps.

Sorry, couldn't get through the first paragraph.
I did like the consideration for the neighbours whilst throwing all the bins over, though.
