what is the best thing to help a bruised toe?
It is very bruised but not broken, just massively purple! Anything I can use to help the bruising etc?

A cold compress on the area.
Keep the foot lifted.
Arnica cream applied to the bruised area.

Keep ice on it. 20 mins on, 20 mins off. Make sure you put a towel on 1st, not straight on the skin. That should help the swelling go down. Or you could alternate ice and heat, 20 mins of ice, the 20 of heat.

Basically try to keep it elevated and stay off it as much as possible. and put ice on it for 20 minutes at a time and then 20 minutes off.

Okay, you should alternate heat and ice, because it increases blood flow in the area, which will reduce swelling and bruising.

ice and rest always work for me but its hard with a toe because it takes so long to heal as you use it a lot
