19 year old and 43 old year old?

i think its disgusting but if theyre really in love, which i doubt, then good 4 them, i guess

There is nothing wrong with a 43 year old man being with a 19 year old woman. They're both legal age adults. I am 43 and i would love to date a 19, 20, or 21 year old woman. Many relationships work out good between older men and younger women and the vice versa. When i worked at Wal-Mart, i had a female co-worker who was in her early 20s and she was married to an older man in his 50s. they are still married and have kids. People who bash older men 40 and above for dating young women 18 to 25 are just a bunch of stupid trolls. This is 2016, not 1956. Just don't force a young women at 19 to date you. If she wants to be with young guys her age, let her do that. Lots of 19 year old women like older men 40 and above.

But if the 19 yr old is doing it for $$$$$$, then its kinda not right, because the Rich 43 year old man, might just fall in love...and get his heart broke...when the 19 year old moves on to younger love...

If the 43 yr old man, and the 19 year old love each other then its ok...

Its kinda gross...i mean, i have a 19 yr old daughter, and me an my husband are 40..

So this 43 yr old man, is old enough to be the 19 yr olds daddy..

But if its true love...go for it...but dont do it for wrong reasons...if you do, someone will get there heart broken..and alot of emotional issues..etc. Someone, out of the 2 people, one will fall in love, and the other will not...

The key word is rich..but if they both enjoy each other's company it's fine I guess even if that's gross...

But where would the common ground be between them exactly? Some consider 19 a teen and most 19 year olds aren't even in college since they're fresh out of highschool

it depends. technically, they're both legal adults, but it still might be wrong in some cases.

first off, why would a guy at 43 still be obsessing over 19 year old girls??? i'm 20 and i think most women at his age are perfectly fine. they are more mature sexually and mentally and a lot of them are just as hot as younger girls physically. if the 43 year old man prefers girls that young over slightly older women, then he's probably into young teen-like features which is kind of wrong for someone at that age. also, it's a little hyporcritical for him, being 43, to think that women who don't look like teeny girls aren't good enough.

but if it's really not just about sexual attraction and if the 43 year old man is not always obsessing over teen girls and they really happen to be in love, then i guess it's not WRONG, but still a little awkward.

EDIT: @ say ello to my lil avatar: it's DEFINITELY the other way around. have you read any questions regarding older women going for teen guys? the answer are SO much more supportive! one of them was even a professor who was aking about seducing her 18 year old STUDENT! she got tons of "you go girl" type answers.

There seems to be a double standard there ; If it's a guy who's the 43 yr old it's all good...But when older women at 43 dates a 19 year old guy...it's not as accepted (don't know why.)

well, because of social norms it's considered bad form. What is the calculation ? Divide your age in half and add 7 for a proper rule of thumb. 43 / 2 = 21.5 + 7 = 28.5. He should hook up with a 28 year old to make the proper grade. But consent is consent I guess. Society !!

And, when you consider that men reach their sexual peak in their late teens and women arrive at their peak quite a bit later, I would think the coupling might be more fulfilling if the woman was 43 and the guy 19.

I think it's totally messed up -- and I married a younger guy.

But 19 with 43 -- 19 isn't ready for 43, and 43 is taking advantage of 19. Seriously

I think there is something wrong with that. What does a 19 year old have to offer a 43 year old? If he is rich, why isn't he already married with children? If he is married with children, then the 19 year old is just a free prostitute.

I think consenting adults should be free to do whatever they want. There are couples who are very happy all their lives despite huge differences in their ages. Being the same age is no guarantee of happiness. A forty-three year old is more likely to be settled down and to know exactly what he wants than a younger guy might be.

If you're asking why your parents might object, they're just trying to look out for you. Men tend to die younger, so you might be left a very young widow. Some middleaged guys only like to date very young women. When you hit 25, he might dump you for another 19 year old. Sometimes an older guy might tend to treat his young wife condescendingly - more like she's his daughter than a true partner.
