It is true that the only one with "experience" as a President are FORMER PRESIDENTS, but they mean similar experience, such as being governor of California (Reagan), Arkansas (Clinton), or Texas (Baby Bush).
As to your statement about college (2), that is why I was never hired for a decent job: no experience. I always WAS FORCED to take a job not requiring ANY education, thereby showing a serious error in America's educational program. If I had put all the money into the bank that I spent on college, I would be a millionairre now, instead of an old disabled veteran.
As to terrorist attacks, Clinton has Bin Laden but refused to capture him, being too busy chasing skirts.
As to the economy:
545 People
By Charlie Reese --
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits? Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, The Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president and nine Supreme Court justices - 545 human beings out of the 300 million - are directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered but private central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.
The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.
Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts - of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people.
When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Marines are in IRAQ, it's because they want them in IRAQ.
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like 'the economy,' 'inflation' or 'politics' that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses - provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Subject: Remember the election in 2006?
In Just About Two years - - -
This email comes in three parts:
Part 1
Remember the election in 2006? Thought you might like to read the following:
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value
evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
America voted for change in 2006, and we got it! Remember, it's
Congress that makes law not the President.
He has to work with what's handed to him.
Quote of the Day........'My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it.' -- Barack Obama
Part 2:
Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.

Taxes under Clinton Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $ 14,000 Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Single making 75K - tax $ 18,750
Married making 60K - tax $16,800 Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250
Both democratic candidates will return to the higher tax rates
It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama or Hillary are elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie, “The Sting” with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

Experience does not always mean you have done the exact same job, but jobs that give you a background (aka experience) in how to handle a job at the next level.
1. Because of experience they were able to figure out how to send a man to the moon.
2. Many people do have jobs BEFORE they graduate college. Those jobs give them experience to what it's like to work, and college gives them experience on the job they are applying for.
3. To become a CEO you have to work your way up. As you learn each level you gain experience that will allow you to apply for and work as a CEO. You would not even be considered as a CEO if you are unqualified.
4. Being a rookie is experience and the experience needed to go pro. Pro professions do not take people who have never played the game (meaning people without experience.)
5. George Washington did have experience as a leader. Plus there were presidents before him. There were presidents of the Continental Congress. Washington was the first president of the United States. Either way there were things George Washington had to learn and know (again this is experience) to become President of the US.
6. It is not only due to being a POW the people say McCain has experience. He has worked and learned and moved forward throughout the years. He and well as many others feel that the next level for him is to be President.
7. We are not in a recession. You have to be down 2 consecutive quarters to be in a recession, which has not happened. The terrorist who caused 9/11 came into this country and did most of their planning when Clinton was president. Greed is what has caused gas prices and unemployment.

Let me guess this is a love Obama question. Lets put this to the test.
McCain has 26 years of government experience. Obama hasn't finished his first year.
Sending men to the moon was a new frontier and was taken in many stages. Each stage brought more experience. Remember we didn't even send a man to outer space until we tested it with a monkey first.
Many people start working during high school or college so by the time they graduate they have some experience.
Rookies are usually high school or college draft picks these days they have experience with the game.
George Washington was forging a new frontier. He was a battle tested war hero as many of our presidents have been.
Obama hasn't served one day in the military he has proven himself a coward by not standing up for the country he loves. Even if he had served and just never sent to war at least it would prove he had the guts to enlist. But he didn't and it shows no guts!
Bush is stuck with the worst democrat congress in history. They can't breath without fist checking with organizations like move on. Congresses ratings are worse than Bush's does you liberal news media tell you that? I'll bet not.

You haven't stumped me at all
Being President is the most important job out there,if you don't know two sh*** about the profession you won't be able to do it well.It's like someone becoming an engineer without a degree or a player going to the NBA without ever touching a basketball in their life.
Barack Obama has spent 3 years in the senate.That is nothing and 80% of his term has been spent campaigning.
You seem to hold back the facts on Bush and Nixon.Bush has prevented further terrorist attacks,and 9/11 is clearly at his predecessors fault,Bill Clinton.Bill ignored the warnings and backed out of killing Osama.The current unemployment rate isn't that high actually,its just about 5%.Jimmy Carter's presidency has double digit unemployment.President Bush has solution to fix gas prices but people like Obama vote against them.We could be the biggest oil producer in the world.
How is Barack Obama going to fix gas prices?He has no real solution besides tax the oil companies.He doesn't even support Nuclear power.
Maybe I have stumped you

The experience they speak of is not actual "presidential experience" but public office, Governing, budget control, working with unions being a good negotiator. Someone who when being faced with the hard decisions doesn't falter, so we look at what past experiences the candidate has & from that we try to figure out if they could handle a very sensetive situation & make the right call.
We also look very closly at their past voting record & it basicaly tells us how & where they stand on very sensative issues like abortion, human rights, forigen policy. etc...
Nothing prepairs a candidate for that job but we need to know that the person that gets it can handle the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Major corporations, pay millions of dollars, for consultants, who have no experience in any particular type of business, to come into their companies, to watch how their product is being manufactured, distributed, shipped, etc. This is called giving advice from outside the box. Which is a lot more valuable than asking one of their own, how to make improvements, because they would be part of the problem, and set in their habit's, however outdated, and obsolete.

Life.
Kennedy had a very full life; work, military, etc.
Obama is no Kennedy (even though his fantasy is to be one). His experience range is from college to south Chicago.
