My integrity is more important than electability...I refuse to sell my soul to the two party system (Obama/Democrats and McCain/republicans) that has caused so many problems to the country. Unlike millions of people, my conscience will actually haunt me for the next 4 years if I vote for the two party system because the next president is just about guaranteed to be as bad if not even worse than Bush. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...so if you keep voting for the two party system don't expect different results....you'll keep getting more of the same. As Jay Leno once said...you get the government you deserve.
I am doing the right thing and voting for a third party candidate....so far Barr has my vote

I think Bob Barr has NO chance of even coming close to winning the election - and this is coming from a Libertarian!
As far as Ron Paul is concerned, if he joins the ticket, I will pull all the stops to keep them from getting elected. I don't want someone backed by that cult leader getting elected, thanks. Suffice to say, I won't have to try very hard to keep that from happening.

Bob Barr is obscene. He is a first class idiot and proved it when he was in Congress. Obama, who is the world's greatest hype artist would destroy him in a debate. McCain would merely go to sleep. You must be a 100% constitutionalist which isn't bad, however, our constitution must be revised to conform with modern times. It is partially outdated and so is Paul.

To be honest I don't trust him much. It hasn't been two years since he was saying the same things that the republican platform was.
I have to admit, I was disheartened by the LP selecting him as the nominee. It seems to me that the party is sacrificing principle for electability. And if this is the case, then what is the point of having the Libertarian Party at all? That's the area of the Republicans and Democrats. The word "libertarian" is in the name for a reason.

He has no chance, but Barr could be a spoiler in some states as all of his votes will be taken from McCain. That would be great.

He won't win but I think he has a lot of good ideas,I might vote for him.I think we need to get rid of political parties and start using common sense to run our country instead of political agendas i.e. lobbyists, party loyalty, greed etc. Also no vote is a wasted vote, why would anybody vote for someone they don't really want? As long as we have only reps and dems nothing will change, corporations have them in there pocket.

Paul involved anywhere is a horrible ticket. And of course he doesn't have a good chance of winning. He's a 3rd part candidate with relatively no exposure.

It is not going to happen. What he will do is spit the conservative vote and throw the whole thing to Obama.
