When does the soul join the fetus?

Please give any scripture that answers. I am not offering an opinion, except an atheist would answer there is no such thing.

Thanks.

Sorry, I can't think of a supporting scripture. I can give you my opinion. The second life begins, a human has a "life force" or energy. I feel this is the soul. I know from personal experience, this "energy" or soul departs from the body when you die. I was holding my sweet grandmother in my arms when she died. I literally felt the heat leave her body. When her soul left her, her body felt like an empty shell to me.

The all powerful and omnipotent soul chooses the entire life in advance, decides who will be the 200 most common friends and associates, and decides what will be learned and who will teach it. Then it chooses the "classroom". It's kinda like when you register for college classes but a bit more detailed and MUCH more important. Once everything is planned and the parents are chosen the rest is automatic.

I don't have any scripture to support this since most people are not even aware of this stuff as yet but if you check with the "professionals" you will find that I am quite correct.

I've read a lot of books and taken bits and pieces from all of them and the above is what came out of it all.

Trust me ... I've been working on this for 50 years.

    :-)

    Peace

  • Leviticus 17:11 For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life.

The word "life" is the translated from the Hebrew "nephesh", which can also mean "breath", or "soul". So if the soul is in the blood, then a fetus gets its soul when it produces blood cells, after 14 days.

There is no scripture. Orson Scott Card posits that the process is intermittent, that the prebirth spirit visits, drops by does test runs.

I've heard, when they take their first breathe, but really I don't know.

Having had 5 mis-carriages, it would be a comfort to know for sure. Personally I 'felt' it was sooner than that. My babies felt like individuals, as I spoke with them as I rubbed my tummy etc.

Weird as it sounds, but with one of my children, I KNEW I was pregnant, instantly. Didn't tell my husband, as it would of sounded crazy. (Blessed with 3 Children-adults now)

When the sperm enters the egg. The resulting zygote is a human being (obviously it could not be any other kind of being, having been produced by two human parents), and by definition a human being has a soul. Asking when a human being's soul "joins" him/her is like asking when a human being's body "joins" him/her. If a human being exists, he/she exists as body and soul.
