New Orlean's clubs?
I was wondering what are the best places to visit at night in New Orleans, name clubs , bars etc, where to go in Bourbon st?, on the french Quarter? outside french Quarter?
See I´m single heterosexual man in my 30's and I´m going to New Orleans in Oct. 2008, I like the night life, not yet settle down, I´going with a couple of friends that recently got married, so I can´t go to strip clubs.
Any suggestions?

You have lots of options! A lot of the bars uptown cater to college kids (who go to Tulane/Loyola) but you still have many others that have a wide variety of people. Try the Bulldog (there's one on Magazine St uptown and then there's one on Canal- i think that one's better) if you just want to chill and get a drink.
If you want to dance- you could go to a place called The Republic. There's other stuff in the warehouse district too.
Then there's the can of worms that is the French Quarter.
Since you're a tourist, Bourbon is going to be the best place to start. Literally just walk up and down the street and see what interests you. You can tell the type of people and type of music going on inside from outside even. Don't pay a cover- there are places that will charge you but most don't so you shouldn't give into that unless necessary. Also mixed drinks inside most of the clubs (like Razzoos and BBCs are very expensive).
If you're going to drink, you should go to Tropical Isle and get a hand grenade or Pat O's and get a hurricane. Those drinks are sort of expensive but they're worth it because they're strong, taste good and are unique to the city.
Have a great time!

Pick a street: Frenchmen St., Bourbon St., or Magazine St.
Frenchmen has lots of music up and down the block, Bourbon has your typical New Orleans tourist stuff with hurricanes and hand grenades, Magazine St. has a bunch of bars all together.

Hey bubba--
Don't know what you're interested in, but if it's music:
Tipitinas
Snug Harbor (Jazz)
Preservation Hall (make sure you get the real one)--no drinks served, but authentic traditional jazz.
Spotted Cat--across from Snug Harbor and a lot cheaper.
Rock n Bowl (Mid City Lanes)
I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions, but if you stream WWOZ radio, they announce who is playing at all the clubs every other hour.
You can get into a lot of trouble on Bourbon Street if that's what you want to do! And the best part is that you don't have to drive, so no DUI worries.

I really like Yo Mama's and Port of Call. They are a little more chill and relaxing, and both have good food. If you are looking for more action, just bar hop down Bourbon Street.

ok, and this grow to be introduced to our interest why? If hes gay, hes gay, however the undeniable fact that it says he grow to be wearing a hide makes this much less believeable, and, you provide us no link to the object. i think of we would have a closet Falcons fan who hopped on whilst they drafted Mike Vick, now regrets it, and is hatin on the Saints. And for the guy who stated "grow to be he with Jeff Garcia?", you're a moron. have you ever seen Jeff Garcia's spouse? because of the fact in case you havent, then you definately've a sprint study to do, because of the fact this woman is amazing1
