Is a large hard drive really necessary for an Xbox 360?

I'm planning on getting a 20 GB hard drive. Is that enough for casual gaming? What could possibly fill up so much space?

depends on how much you want tp download since there are all kinds of games, demos, trailers n all that on xbox live. if you plan on logging online, that is. otherwise, you wouldnt need space, no.

besides, you could always save your downloaded stuff on external HDs, most of which hold way more than 20GB, ne?

It would probably be enough for casual gaming, but if your going to download a bunch of arcade games or t.v shows then you might want more space, I'm running out of room w/the 20 GB but I have about 15 shows 10 arcade games and some music and a lot of rock band songs, they seem to take up a lot of space. Also you don't really get the full 20GB some of it is used for system stuff. So you should be good if your just using it for saved games.

The 20gb model is probably fine. The only real reason for the bigger hard drive is if you're going to download a lot of movies/TV shows/etc., but since you can do that to the PC and connect them very easily, it's usually not an issue. You may need to clean up old demo games once in a while, but XBLA games and save data are both relatively small in comparison, and there are very few demos over 1gb in size to eat a larger portion of the hard drive space.

you would be able to, yet youd be spending infinite extra money so till at last you dont suggestions passing some hundred money greater. Xbox 360 Arcade is $two hundred yet doesnt come witha hard disk drive. to purchase something like 80 gb expenses one hundred funds. Elite is on sale for $3 hundred and comes with 240gb i've got confidence. merely take the video games and sell/furnish them away. its not perfect extremely worth it to do it any opposite course till at last you desire giving microsoft money...

    20GB is easily enough.

I have the 20GB one for 2 years and still have 10.8GB left.
