Could we put our differences aside and agree on an agenda to make the world a better place for us all?

We live ina time when the entire globe is in communication. Whether you believe in God or not, isn't this a pretty cool evolvement of technology? It seems to me that it is within the capacity of human beings to make the world a kinder and gentler place, a better world for everybody. At the very least, I'm going to procede with that assumption. I've studied utopian thought and some things like that...I think it's pretty cool stuff...and, most of us think that there's great power in ideas. Ideas have a way of getting manifested out in the real world.

So, if we were to come up with that kind of agenda, what would our agenda be?

First, to put differences aside all we need to do is decide that we love our children more than we hate our enemies. At that time, war would end because there would only be weapons used for defense. Then we could worship the Lord God and serve Him only.

We could start be dissolving the current nation-states and allow people locally to rule themselves. People would have the freedom to move about without boundaries or borders. Laws would be simple: Don't mistreat others, respect the land, love the children and adults equally.

From there, the future is ours....

yes, thanks to the great tech. the 1st item in our agenda is to look for common grounds up on which life could be lived together...rules could be set so not to bring up differences.

we may consider such diff. as private or personal choice & to keep it that way as a rule of democracy & etc..NOW THE HARD

PART...how to convince people who can live only on differences such as arms sellers & producers & those who invented the slogan "divide & conquer". another Q. : if we all agreed upon living together as one nation , hypothetical, ... how many presidents & kings etc. are willing to respect the will of the new hypothetical nation ?...

No one should go hungry. Ever. Period. End of story. Doesn't matter who they are, or what they've done or not done.

No one should go without healthcare. Ever. Period. End of story. Whether they can pay for it or not. That isn't to say that people have a right to wasteful treatments, but everyone should be able to be seen and get worthwhile treatments.

There are too many people who do not want to see the world a better place.

Religion is contradictory to an agenda that makes the world better.

Even if we all agree to believe the Bible is the true word of God, we will still have many differences, but believing in truth is essential. After this, we have to spend much time in prayer and Bible study and being led by the Holy Spirit in order to learn much more that is needed.

After that, we are better off putting off our differences even from a biblical point of view. For we are to be one in the spirit. We will always have differences of opinion...we come from different backgrounds, have been taught many different and conflicting things, we are learning from different vantage points, we have different circumstances. It is impossible to agree completely on everything. I have a dear Christian friend who disagrees with me about politics. We can still love one another and agree to disagree and be one in the spirit.
