No idea, Who wrote it in the first place?
If Adam and Eve were the first human, does that mean all Adam and Eve's desendents were Brothers and Sisters? Yuck much?

Romans 15:4 states, " For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope." For true Christians the old testament is still relevant. Although Mosaic Law no longer applies, the principles behind those laws are still relevant. For instance, it condemns adulterty and fornication. These are roots of family problems. The book of Proverbs highlights principles and wisdom that are also still relevant. Proverbs 22:6 gives words of advice for parenting, Proverbs 10:4 points out the advantage of a diligent worker. So we can learn a lot from it. Besides, the old testament has prophecies which were fulfilled at the time of Christ and his apostles. By studying those prophecies and its fulfillment it will inspire and strengthen our faith. Jesus Christ never asked His followers to ignore the old testament. Regarding homosexuality, it is not only condemned in the old testament. Romans 1:23-27 reads, "Therefore God, in keeping with the desires of their hearts, gave them up to uncleanness, that their bodies might be dishonored among them, even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen. That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature;  and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error." It is also stated in 1 Corinthians 6:11.

Jesus came to fulfill the Word of God, nothing more. He taught and practiced love. What people don't understand is that homosexuals need love too, just like straight folks who are sexual deviants, or the people who lie, cheat, and steal. Jesus showed equal love to everyone, but He was quick to say: "Sin no more" because it is an abomination to God. The Old Testament has prophecy concealed, the New Testament is the Word revealed.

First of all, the Bible is not meant to be taken completely literately. 2nd, the Church has nothing against homosexuals, it is the act that is sinful. God made man and woman to be together. Adam and Eve, man and woman, were together in the Garden of Eden. "Where did Jesus rescind the OT?" is a good ? to ask a priest or other very knowledgeable in that area. God was more vengeful in the OT, "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth..." They can explain better than me. God bless!

The Old Testament laws were not rescinded, abolished, done away with, etc. Jesus MAGNIFIED Old Testament Law in the New Testament.

The OT must be seen through the eyes of the NT. In the OT, David was told to hate his enemies, who were flesh and blood. In the NT, we are also told to hate our enemies, but Eph chapter 6 makes it clear exactly who are our enemies are, and they are not flesh and blood. So to say we Christians reject or ignore the OT would be a falsehood. It's also an ancient heresy that the Church condemned a thousand years ago.
As for the homosexual issue, there are plenty of passages that deal with that topic in the NT. A good concordance would benefit you, that is if they aren't all cut and pasted by others here.

ITS CALLED LAW AND GOSPEL.
LOOK IT UP ON WIKIPEDIA!
I don't know which "Christians" don't follow the whole Bible, but certainly none that I've ever met. Jesus, as he said, came to fulfill the law, not to undo it.
No one should have anything against homosexual people, just homosexuality. You have to separate the sinner from his or her sin. Just like we would not 'hate' a gambler for gambling or an alcoholic for drinking too much. Anything else is either bull*** or heresy.

Jesus fullfilled the Old Testament. Read it. Its full of stories with deeper meanings than just the origional stories. Most all of it can be related to things Jesus would accomplish when he came.

In the old testament Genesis Sodom and Gomorrah was a wick and sinful place, full of homosexually and somewhere in old it repeats where Jesus said it was abomination, so it is what is !

The new testament speaks against it too. we Love you, God loves you but He wants you to stop sinning. Read the last chapter of Revelation, where it says that homosexuals will not enter the kingdom of heaven, but God WILL accept you as you are, let Him do the changing.

Jesus constantly quoted the old testiment and many of the things he said were repeats of what they said.
The new testatment or the hebrew scriptures are full of things that say homosexuals are not going to heaven.
