Who makes the royalties on Ancient and Biblical texts?

And why are they not available to the general public?

Ancient Biblical manuscripts are in the public domain. The best way to see almost the whole manuscript history of the Greek Scriptures is to acquire the Nestle-Aland 27th edition (NA27). It contains a near exhaustive critical apparatus. It is a little pricey, that is because of the work of the scholars who put the text together, which would be grueling.

The ancient texts are very available to the public.

They are generally free, unless in a printed book.

    What texts do you need?
