where in the bible written that Jesus is a personal saviour? for it is written in Ephesians 5:23 that Christ?

is the savior of the body(the church)? I cannot understand personal savior.

Update:

Just by accepting? how about Rom2:13 for not the hearer s of the law are just before GOD, but the doers of the law shall be justified:

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves:

Jas1:23 for if any be hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in the glass:

Jes 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein he being not a foregetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Update 2:

1Co1:2

1Co 15:9

1Co10:32

1Co11:16

1Co:11:22

    Like many of the things in the Bible, this cliche is only a way of saying a principle that is in the Bible. The principle can be found in several passages, but here is one that you may find helpful:

    If you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART* that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. (Romans 10:9)

    * Believing in your heart is pretty personal, don't you think? And there are many passages that talk about Him being the Savior.

    You will find references in Scripture for Christ being the savior of the Church, that is, all born anew believers in Christ, and language referring to the individual.

    Act 16:30 And leading them outside, he said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?

    Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

    Rom 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

    Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation.

    Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame." (Isa. 28:16)

    Eph 2:8 For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

    Eph 2:9 not of works, that not anyone should boast;

    It is not in the bible per say, what it is implying is you must make the decision to accept Him as savior or not. You personally must make the call no one else can do that for you, it is a personal relationship between you and the Lord. The church or family or minister or priest cannot make that decision for you. Think about it, and you will understand why, this is an eternal decision. To say yes to Christ I want you to forgive me for my sins and make you Lord of my life He promises you new life and life eternal in heaven. If you choose not to accept Him as your savior that is the unforgivable sin and you will spend eternity in hell. Try to read the book of John and see what you think.

    Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

    Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Rom 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

    Rom 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

    Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

    Dear Friend,

    No one can come to the Father accept God draws him/her.

    John 6:44 says, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him..." Notice it says, "No man..." Not, "No group (of people)." It is an individual... "invitation." Which makes it personal, and Jesus a personal...God.

    Jesus is not a corporate Savior when the invitation is offered. He draws individuals to Himself. Then, we become His children. He becomes our Abba Father. We are the church and ultimately... His Bride.

    Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    Which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour. [ Titus 3:5-6].

    There is not a passage that refers to a "personal" savior. However, it is infered by passages such as John 3:16 where it says "whosoever" believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Whosoever is me.

    Who is the church? It is everyone that has accepted Jesus as the Christ and as their personal savior.

    Jesus died for us remember the name of God The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac the God of Jacob. He is a personal God with a personal salvation for all who call upon as Romans 10 states as our distiquised brother mentioned earlier however there is more.

    Romans 8:28-32 (King James Version)

    28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

    30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

    31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

    "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16)

    Notice "He (the individual person)... shall be saved".

    "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." (Gal 2:20)

    Notice Paul said God "loved me and gave himself for me!"
