Are you home with them?
-If you are, and you are helping the sitter out, $5.
-If you are, but you're not helping or anything, $7.
If you're not home, pay her $8-10 an hour. The usual rate is $8/hour, but you should just round it to ten (add a tip).

This question was asked a while ago, but for any readers, as a teen babysitter from a nice town, I charge $7 for one child, $10 for two, $12 for three and $15 for four. I can't drive, but that comes with every type of maintenance as well- be it dog walking, tutoring, providing food and entertainment, giving advice, etc. I'm basically a caregiving older sibling for the designated time. Some of the families I sit for call it "a good rate for our family, and with more to offer than our other sitters."

i have been babysitting for a long time and i usually go by 4-5$ and hour per child and then if it goes after mid-night 5-6$ an hour mid-night hours. so say the babysitter babysat from 7-10 so thats 24$. It also depends on how old the babysitter is if they are younger you don't havee to pay them as much because they are less experienced

more than minimum wage...1&1/2 maybe because the two kids. So if you were in california min wage is $8 so 1.5 times that is $12 per hour and throw in some more if she went above and beyond...like a bonus. Watching your kids is a special job!

If she sits for more then 3 hours then pay 10 dollars an hour. If she only sits for 1- 2 hours then pay her 7 dollars and hour

at least $6 or $7 an hour (but round up) but if you're only gone an hour probably a little more to make it worth coming over

Around $8.00 But if you want to get technical, you got to figure out how much taxes your taking out from her pay, not to mention the use of your facility which brings it down to $6.10 depending on what state your in ( it could be more or less) and based on her experience. Dont forget to ask her on " why does she want this position? What makes her better than any other babysitters? and why should you pay her more than granted?
