Where is Fuel Pump Relay for 1993 Mercury Sable?

93 Sable w/ 3.8 engine. It cranks but does not turn over. My son replaced the fuel pump a while back. Some times it starts, but most times it does not. Someone suggested we replace the relay, but no one I asked knows where it is.

Any other suggestions would be helpful (but not get a new car, I have no income and waiting for disability)

Update:

I should add that my son cut out the inertia switch and connected the wires together. Also, when the car does not start we cannot hear the fuel pump. We know it will start when we can hear the fuel pump.

The fuel pump relay is normally located on a bracket somewhere above the Electronic Control Assembly, which is located ahead of the glove box. (older models had it out under the hood, but it gets hot out there)

Sounds like a good bet, but hard to say for sure without testing. Might want to make sure if you can hear the pump running or not when it doesn't start. Also, check for power at the inertia switch in the trunk when it's not starting.

Not positive (sorry,I do answer a lot of Ford answers, though) but I'm pretty sure it's next to the ECM relay in the fuse box located under the hood.Hope this helps.

basically call one up and ask for a quote, they are going to manage to grant you one particularly quick and far extra precise pricing than asking on the following. attempt different mechanics and spot the cost distinction.
