What can I do special for my 5 year anniversary?

well I guess better to ask on the day of the anniversary than not at all!

planning must not be a thing you do....

I would suggest throughout the day you send her little things. Start with flowers, and a little note expressing our love to her. Then this afternoon send her balloons with a card attached saying at such and such a time she should be ready to go out for a fabulous dinner. Or don't tell her that, just tell her to dress up in your favorite dress and be ready at a certain time. Arrange dinner plans someplace really nice. Ask for a corner secluded area when you call and make reservations. (yes call and make them ahead of time) At dinner pull some sort of gift from your pocket...(necklace, bracelet, earrings, you know something she will really like!) And then after dinner go to a lake or beach depending where you are located. Pull out of the trunk a bottle of wine and a blanket. Find a nice place to place everything and then just cuddle! Then take her home and make passionate love!

Has there always been something she's wanted to do?! Has she wanted to try a new restaurant or see a new movie?! Plan a night around something she likes - like her favorite place to eat or shop...and make it a special night for her.

Maybe make a collage of picture (photo frame) of all of the fun things you two have done together over the past five years. If you took the time to make that she would melt.

For my one year wedding anniversary my husband did a collage for me with a nice poem in the middle and it was the most amazing thing knowing he took the time to cut the pictures to fit the frames and to look at the pictures he chose when we were on trips or out together. It was very sentimental and I will cherish it for the rest of my life.

AND ON A SIDE NOTE:

Out of the ordinary would take weeks to prepare. Why did you wait until today to ask?!

its scary you waited til today to ask for ideas. Whats the ordinary? if you always go out for dinner, cook for her. Maybe rent a boat and take her on the lake enjoy the beauty and hers, have a pinic on the water. Just an Idea. Or you could do something you haven't done since the begining maybe take her some where that has meaning in the relationship. good luck and have fun.

Draw her a bath with rose petals and bubbles, then make her a nice dinner and surprise her with some champagne and some chocolate. Clean the house for her and remember to do the dishes women love that. Good luck and have fun.

You do not mentioned were you are from but if you a have a Melting Pot restaurant near by it would be a great idea.

This is a Fondue restaurant were you have to cook your meals but have a great cozy time.

go out to dinner, take them to were you guys meet, or a butterlfy sanactury (there was this other person on yahoo that did that)

Buy her a Coach or Fendi bag.
