As long as they are able to make sure their needs are met. They have a safe place to live, food, go to school. If the parent's job is unstable? If they can hold down a legal job, even working at McDonald's to pay the bill, they are fine.

This isn't much of an answer, I know, but why would you want to get custody if your job is unstable? It's important that the children are looked after properly, if your job is unstable then you cant guarentee that. X amount of dollars isnt good coz with children, stuff comes up all the time that doesn't fit in to my budget. They get sick, they need expensive medicine or other things and if you cant afford to buy it, they suffer in the long run.

Think about it, cuz it would be a lot worse for you to get them and mess up and lose them again, that would be harder on them.
