How do i potty train a stubborn 3 year old girl.?

Time and patience are the keys here.

Part of it may be a resistance to letting go of her 'babyhood', especially as there is a real baby wearing diapers in the house.

I would try to emphasize to her how exciting it is that she is becoming a 'big girl', and how proud you are of her for becoming a 'big girl', for using the potty chair and other age appropriate activities.

Make it seem like a fun accomplishment and not a chore.

And again, time and patience.

It will happen in due time. I don't know of any healthy 15 year

olds that aren't potty trained. ;)

This is a very difficult transition for her. She is not used to having a baby around, and right now the only thing that she can really control is her potty time. You have to stay positive, but do not go back to the diapers. If you do that, then you will have to start over again from scratch. She will get it. I would let her play in just panties while you are at home, and keep the potty seat out in the open for her to choose when to use it. Try not to be on her so often, I mean even when they had diapers on they weren't going every 20 minutes. Most kids usually poo around the same time every day, so try and remember about when that is and put her on it. For pee, I would definitely watch when you give her something to drink. After 20-30 minutes then have her try. Other than that, just really try to make it light and fun. When she does go praise her, when she has an accident, try not to get mad. Gently remind her where her pee and poo go.

Your daughter is doing this to get your attention especially as you have a new baby in the house. She is feeling threatened and this is perfectly normal, Its called sibling rivarly. The best way to deal with this is to ignore her when she wets or poops her panties as she will feel uncomfortable. Do not keep telling her to use the potty as you are giving her the attention that she wants. just ignore her. Things will work out in the end. goodluck

ok, i believe you are correct in assuming a coorelation between this problem and the new baby. However, I think you should go back to putting her in just panties. When she does her business in her panties, MAKE HER CLEAN IT UP. Make it a consequence for her actions. Soon, she will grow tired of cleaning up her poop and her pee.

You would need to do a little confident enforcement> for those who and the opposite individuals of your loved ones get a a mini mm or a further small sweet for peeing quickly she's going to wish to comply with go well with.
