Some "Own up to it" Hockey Questions?

1.) Who is one player who you consistantly put down, but secretly respect (or wish was on your team)?

2.) Name one popular hockey joke that you don't think is true (example, Sidney Crosby went to The Mark Spitz hockey school).

3.) If you could start your hockey fan career over, would you pick the same team (you can live anywhere)?

4.) Could you ever change teams? Say you moved to Atlanta and Ilya Kovalchuk saved your puppy from drowning then gave you season tickets?

5.) Do you come on here because you like it? Have nothing better to do? Or you are in a position where killing time is necessary?

Thanks!

Update:

Homes- That's exactly how I use it. Makes work almost bareable.

    1) I am not 5 years-old anymore. I don't have to push a boy in the mud puddle to let him know I like him, lol. I put down Crosby and Ovechkin every once and a while, but I also praise them, as well. I suppose that doesn't count.

    2) I read that Vincent Lecavalier likes REALLY trashy looking chicks. Like Quiet Riot hair, stone washed, leather fringed mommas.

    3) I would be a bigger Habs fan if I were born a couple hundred mile north, and was born in Canada. I am not ashamed of being a Lightning fan. I know everybody else in the NHL thinks the Southeast is a joke, but I don't care...I have never been a conformist, and I definitely would not start to be one with hockey.

    4) I could pick up another team to cheer. I would never NOT be a Lightning or Habs fan. It is like saying, if your parents adopted a new brother for you, would you stop loving your old brother.

    5) I am at work 95% of the time when I am one here. I come on every once and a while at night or on the weekends. I work on some paperwork, talk to clients on the phone, and have appointments. In between these things, I come on here for like 5 minutes at a crack, just to give myself mini breaks. It is pretty great, because it is like sneaking some friends in my office, and occasionally talking about hockey....makes the day go faster.

Iceman: I think that is the definition of a slacker. Shame on us!

    1. I don't think there is a player that I constantly put down who I respect or would want on my team.

    2. Um...no clue

    3. I'd still be a Leafs fan, I can't imagine rooting for any other team then the Leafs.

    4. I would be thankful for the tickets and go to the games whenever I can but Leafs would still be my #1. Said team would probably become my second favourite team.

    5. It's my summer holidays and I have nothing better to do but I also genuinely like the people here and I have learned a lot about hockey since coming on here.

    1. Okay, maybe Sid the kid but I don't really wish he was on our team...I know I really dislike Marc-Andre Fleury but that's because he is really good for being so young and it would be cool if he was on my team.

    2. I can't think of one off the top of my head right now...

    3. Yes! I've been a Wings fan through thick and thin and I still love them

    4. No, but I would respect their team and the player and root for them when they were not playing against the Red Wings. I live in Maryland but I'm a 100% Wings fan...I really don't care that much about the D.C. Capitals

    5. I enjoy being in the hockey section and yes, you could probably say sometimes I don't have anything better to do. Once I get back in school I will be on here much less but that's because I'll be so busy with all these annoying honors classes ugh.

    1) I wouldn't mind having Joe Sakic on the Wings.

    2) It's not the Mark Spitz hockey school, it's the Greg Louganis hockey school.

I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out.

    3) I couldn't see being anything other than a Wings fan.

    4) I'd cheer for the local team, unless it's Colorado, but I'd be a Wings fan first.

    5) I have nothing better to do.

  • 1)I really don't put down a player unless they do something stupid. But I will say I was never a huge fan of Chelios. He is fine , but not a huge fan, but in his prime, he could gladly come play on the Panthers

2)Parros has been in porn, His 'tashe says it all.

3)No i am happy the way it is

4)I would go to the game and root for the home team unless they are playing my old team. I never give up an old team . They always have a place in my heart

5)I come on here Mostly because I like it. I also come on here to get a break from filling out employment applications

    1.) Crosby - I still don't like him, but I have to admit he's a good player.

2.) That Chelios is an old geezer.

3.) I'd probably pick the Red Wings because of their amazing dynasty and their consistantly amazing seasons. But I'm still pretty happy being a Devils fan. They're pretty good every season.

4.) No. Once a Devils fan always a Devils fan. That's a good quality I think Devils fans have. We're really loyal.

5.) I like it. It's fun answering the questions and reading people's responses. I have better things to do but I waste my time on here :)

    1. Well..this would have to be Derek Jeter..but then I'm in the hockey section sooo...I don't do it too too much, but every once in a while I'll say something about Crosby, and yeah I want him on my team, and yeah I respect him a lot.

    2. Ehh..Can't think this early.

    3. Yes, I love it here in Boston, and I love rooting for the hometown team. I love the history of the Bruins, and I'm looking forward to the future with this team.

    4. Nope, I could change second favorite teams, but I could never like a team more than the Bruins.

    5. Like it/Have nothing better to do.

    1) Back in the day, Patrick Roy. I'd still hate his childish behavior, but with those kind of performances on my team, it'd be hard to truly hate the guy.

    2) I can't name one popular hockey joke other than Don Cherry's jackets

    3) Yep, Red Wings all the way.

    4) Not entirely. One of those cases where "I'll root for them as long as they're not playing the Wings". End of the day, I'd still want the Wings to win it all.

    5) If I didn't come here I'd be caught sleeping at my desk and fired. It keeps my brain occupied while doing tasks that have no interest to me.

4)No I couldn't.I'd appreciate the tix and go to the games because I am a hockey fan but still a Flyers fan.

5)I DID like it at one time and yes I am killing time at work.
