Should I see an eye doctor?

I woke up this morning with a "bump" under the top eyelid of my left eye. It's annoying - kind of like a pimple. It is painful if I touch it, and bothers me to blink. It almost feels like if I could 'squeeze' it or 'pop' it, it might go away. Is this something to worry about? Should I see an eye doctor? I'm a 64-year-old male. -RKO- 07/21/08

No. Its minor. Its basicly what you said. A pimple. Close your eyes and hold a warm wet rag over your eyes and listen to the radio. It should go down. You may have gotten a little dirt in your eye.

I would try going to an eye doctor if you are worried about it. It may just be a sty, though, which is easy to get rid of, by simply placing a warm, wet towel over your eyelid for about 5-10 minutes, maybe once or twice a day. If the problem does not go away after about a day or two, then I would see the eye doctor.

No...don't unless it doesn't go away by tomorrow...

I get them sometimes...there'll not harmful...probably caused by something dirty in your eye.
