If an attorney outright lies in open court, what should you do?

This isn't the first time the Plaintiff's attorney has lied in open court and in her documents to the court. Can someone tell me the procedure for filing a complaint or sanctions against the attorney on record here in Nevada.

I'd start with the Nevada state bar. They will be able to point you in the right direction. But be sure you know the lawyer is lying and can prove it... the last thing you want is a PO'd plaintiff's lawyer slamming you with a defamation suit.

Too funny! They all do. They lead, lie, suggest, whatnot. Contact the Bar Association in your state. They will be able to help you if you feel you want to file a grievance against your lawyer. There are a lot of lawyers who have been bagged. Here is the web site for my state, you can get a good idea and read the cases regarding the lawyers, pretty interesting. Google your state and see if you can get the same web site for grievances. Good Luck.

You would get a hold of the bar assiociation.... but you are not clear as to what he/she lied about, I am in the middle of a court case and I have heard somethings come out of theior attorneies mouths that were not the truth but they were misconstrued

the attorney is not under oath, although there may be ethical obligations.

    your attorney can advise .

it may be what you see as a lie, the court (and your attorney) will merely see as part of the adversarial system. as the defendant, you are necessarily biased with the most to lose. Your attorney should be able to reassure you on this matter.

It is very hard to prove that someone is intentionally lying. Assuming it can be proven, the judge will handle it.

interior the 18th century human beings started shifting west and 3 establishments went with them. there exchange into vaudeville, traveling leisure. there exchange into lyceum, traveling training and custom. And there exchange into the itinerant preacher, offering a clean form of preaching referred to as "hellfire and brimstone". It exchange into very relaxing, basically loosely in keeping with scripture, and pastors did no longer even attempt to compete. extremely they switched to public morality and philosophy. at last an entire era grew up no longer understanding the 1st factor with regard to the religion they claimed to have faith. for the reason that approximately 1970 some human beings have committed themselves to rediscovering what the bible particularly says, yet there is considerable resistance in keeping with "faith of our fathers", it is to declare a famously brainless devotion to faith for its own sake. As for who's led via the bible, we used to declare that 10% of human beings claimed to be Christians yet church homes basically had seating skill for 2%. different international places don't get suggested lots. individuals of one church will insist that individuals of the different church are no longer following the bible, and that is complicated to get individuals of anybody church to agree on what they formally have faith. final analysis: quite quite everyone's wager is approximately distinctly much as good as quite quite everyone else's wager, it is to decline good in any respect.
