zoom airlines?

Have you heard of this airline? I am trying to figure out if this is safe to travel on. They are an international carrier but if I am on a flight for over 10hours that travels overseas, I want to ensure my safety!

If you know of any other deals on international flights (departing from the US) please let me know.

They have to meet the same safety standards as every other airline. If they land in the US, they have to meet the same minimum safety standards as American, United, etc. They use 767 aircraft across the Atlantic, the same as American, United, etc.

However, it is a budget airline so don't expect too much from them. You can read passenger reviews about them at http://www.airlinequality.com./ Their passengers don't seem to think too highly of their service. With airlines, as with everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

Your best bet is to try a shopping site. Kayak.com searches many different websites and combines the results. No site always has the lowest fare, but this one saves a lot of time searching.

Zoom is absolutely safe, but VERY basic. If you are looking only for the cheapest way to get from point A to B and arent picky about customer service and "extras"(which, lets face it, you dont really get those extras on other airlines anymore either) Zoom will be the way to go. Their schedules are really wacky though - pay close attention when you book!

Physically, you're as safe on Zoom as you are on just about any other airline.

Financially, given all the turmoil that has been taking place in the airline industry recently, I would recommend a carrier whose financial state is well-known as opposed to one that does not release this information to the public. Zoom is in the latter category.
