How old have your pets lived to be?

Many of my pets were strays, so known ages don't exist. The chow mix I just lost, Rusty, had to be at least 17 because he was an adult when I adopted him, and that was in 92. My quarter horse Moose was 36.

My two gerbils were about 3 years old. A cat I lived with was 22. One of my dogs lived to 16, the other to around 17.

I had a Maine Coon that lived 18 years. I had a American Quarter Horse that was about 29 when she died, it was hard to pin down her age, she had been sold several times before I got her but when I bought her (for 50 bucks!) the trader said she was at least 20. I had her for another 9 years. I had a Bernese Mountain Dog who was 10 when he was put down after being diagnosed with cancer.

My cat made it to 12 but she had to be put to sleep back in october, I have 3 dogs who are ages 12, 12, and 10. My neighbor had a cat ironically named Baby who lived til she was 23.

I had to put my precious doggy to sleep last month. He was 13, which is an average life (I wished he lived longer of corse).

I have a few older pets currently which include two senior cats who are going on 15 years old and an 8 year old rabbit.

I have a cat that lived till 23 from old age and cancer that we didn't know about. I had a cat that lived till 2 because of feline lukemea.

My dad's beagle lived to the age of 13 (he died after a cancer surgery).

My friend has a pony that's at the ripe old age of 25 and still going strong.

Another friend has a horse that's 33 and out-riding horses in their younger years.

None of my animals have had the chance to die yet. They're all still pretty young.

As an adult I have owned a couple pets:

Hamsters:

Whiskers lived to be 3 and half

Peaches lived to be @2

Spice lived to be @2

Cats:

Shadow 20 years

Piggy still hanging in at 19

Dog:

Finnegan is only 3 years- hope to ahve him around for many. many more!
