  • What is considered "famous" artwork?

As a school assignment, I was asked to find a "famous" artwork (painting, sculpture, picture, etc.) that would match the theme of a book I just read. The book was Catch-22 (a great theme to work from), but I don't know what would be considered "famous" enough to use for the assignment. Would it have to be Van Gogh or Divinci? Or can it be more of a recent artist like Warhol?

  • I need action photography advice.

I'm going to my local fair in a few days and taking my camera with me. I want to get some action shots of the horse shows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My camera is an Olympus Stylus 830. It's a good camera and has a lot of different options. I just want to know what the best settings would be. I will be taking pictures in all sorts of different lighting (morning, afternoon, cloudy, sunny, etc.). What do you think would be best?

  • New Kitten and a First Time Owner. Help Please?

Long story short, I ended up with a kitten. I have never owned a cat in my life. I know a bit about them, but I'm not sure as to what to do for this kitten. I'm taking it to the vet sometime within the next two weeks (my dog is going as well). But until then, what should I do? I don't know exactly how old it is, but tips on anything to do with kittens and how to care for them are greatly appreciated.

I already know about spay/neuter, but what should I do as to feed, water, etc.? Thanks again for your help.

  • Foal Halters?

Is a foal supposed to use a halter?

I have heard that foals shouldn't use halters because they are not fully developed in the head/neck. Instead, you should lead them by figure-8ing a rope around their behind and in front of their shoulders.

But if that is the case, then why do the large tack companies (Tuffy, Weaver, etc.) make and sell halters for sucklings, weanlings, etc.?

  • Which Book?

I need to choose a book for summer reading by July 1st. We have a list of books to choose from. I have narrowed down the list quite a lot, but now I am unsure. I would like some opinions about books from this list that you have read.

    Title (Author's Last Name)

    As I Lay Dying (Faulkner)

    Catch-22 (Heller)

The Catcher In The Rye (Salinger)

    1984 (Orwell)

I have read descriptions of each, but I want some other opinions on them before I choose. I don't want to end up stuck with a book I will never understand. Can I have your opinion on some of these books?

  • Best Way for Fast Natual Hair Growth?

I am growing my hair out to donate to Locks of Love (or a similar organization). My length is getting there, but I still need about 4 inches or so.

I want to use only natural methods to make my hair grow longer. What works to make your hair grow fast, naturally?

  • Locks of Love. Am I donate-able?

Does Locks of Love accept layered hair?

I have a scene/emo/whatever haircut and was wondering if Locks of Love would accept my hair before I actually cut it. My layers start at abot my ears and my hair goes about mid-way down my back. It has never been colored or chemically straightened. Would that be acceptable to them?

  • Diciphering "Stars" by Robert Frost.?

For an english class, I have chosen to dicipher "Stars" by Robert Frost. I'm having trouble finding literary elements in it (i.e. symbolism, rheoric, connotations, etc.).

    Stars

    by Robert Frost

    How countlessly they congregate

    O'er our tumultuous snow,

Which flows in shapes as tall as trees

When wintry winds do blow! --

As if with keenness for our fate,

    Our faltering few steps on

To white rest, and a place of rest

    Invisible at dawn, --

And yet with neither love nor hate,

    Those stars like some snow-white

    Minerva's snow-white mareble eyes

    Without the gift of sight.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
